I am from Philadelphia where Dick Vermeil had a great NFL career. the wine was very good, but expensive. I love the posters and video of Dick Vermeil's career. We chose to buy a glass of wine rather then pay for a tasting. I did break out into the Eagles fight song.

We spent around half an hour at the Vermeil Wines tasting room on Lincoln Avenue. The manager, Mary Frediani, was friendly and had the right personality for the job, but the tasting room itself just lacked the warmth or charm or character of the other wineries in the area. In fact, it was just too businesslike; even to the taxing... More

If Dick Vermeil's family made half as good wine as he did coaching this would be a 5 star place but unfortunately it is not the case. For fourth generation wine grows you should know when your wines have oxidized and not poor them . The wines are not great but at least not all of them tasted like vinegar.

We're from Kansas City and really miss Dirk Vermeil so we had to stop at his place while in Calastoga. Great little shop with lots of his memorabilia. Generally the wines were great but the employee conducting the tasting was odd. I'm not a prudish person by any stretch of the imagination but she was a bit too flirtatious. And... More

I didn't make the connection to Coach Vermeil until we were inside.....I am a huge football fan so I enjoyed the ambiance. The wine tasting, well, I shipped home over $600 in wine so I guess that kind of says it all.

We had stopped for lunch at Pacifico a good Mexican Restaurant. Across the street we spotted the Vermeil Winery. Didn't realize the Vermeil family has a longstanding presence in the Napa Valley. We went in for a tasting and got a history lesson of the families and of the region. Ended up buying a case of wine.

My boyfriend and I went to the tasting room in Calistoga on 10/31/2014. Had a nice experience and bought some wine. They immediately charged my credit card and in fact over-charged us to the tune of $150. We got it straightened out the next day (thankfully we were still in the Valley and could take care of this) but then... More

My husband and I are wine AND football fans, and Dick Vermeil is one of my husband's favorite coaches. On a recent visit to Northern California, we visited both Vermeil Wine locations -Napa and Calistoga. We first went to the Napa location, where the young man working there couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. He even let my husband... More

I didn't go to the winery in Calistoga, but there is a tasting room in downtown. I'm a football fan, so I loved the football decor with Dick Vermeil's teams. Wines were good too!

My husband is a huge Rams fan, so we had to visit this winery owned by a former Rams manager. The wine selection was vast, and the quality of the wines were some of the best we had. The girl who did the tasting was extremely helpful and pleasant, but I noticed later that she had overcharged us for one... More
