Don't get me wrong, the property is beautiful and I'm glad I went. The gondola ride to the top is unique and the winery itself is a landmark. My problem is that the tour is self-guided and features videos at each stop. Someone will pour you a glass of mediocre wine every now and then, while video recordings explain the... More

Self guided tour after the gondola ride. Kinda nice at the end of the day when you have had enough wine. Decent wine, nothing outstanding in my book.

Went with my wife and cousin, none of us are serious tasters, but we do enjoy visiting various wineries. We took the premium tour which was a little pricey, but it's a vacation. The tram ride up the hill is really cool, the staff friendly, and the grounds are just beautiful. We also enjoyed sampling a wide variety of wines.Go for a... More

I had not been a big fan of Sterling but heard so many great things about the scenery and experience, we decided to stop by. Glad we did. Absolutely fantastic views and, a huge plus, we really enjoyed the wines. Multiple stops for wine, all the servers were friendly. Strongly recommend the reserve tasting, just a few dollars more, and... More

Really worth the visit. Very good self guided tour at your own pace. Wine was enjoyable, especially on hot day. Views were phenomenal. Get there when they open and enjoy their small restaurant after the tour for light lunch/ cheese plate with your final tasting; choose the Silver Experience.

I cannot say enough about this lovely vineyard. The Napa Valley tourist office recommended this the first time I visited and I must say it is a top pick. First off, take your significant other as it is quite romantic and you will certainly enjoy the tram up and the views as you sip away at the tasty wines. The... More

This place is so beautiful. The view is amazing. You get to see the valley down below and other Vineyards close buy. It is a little further away but it's well worth the trip. The regular wine tasting fee is 29.99 but with an additional 10, you'll get the regular wine plus another tasting. The regular tasting is very cool.... More

Yes, you ride a gondola from the base parking lot up to the winery, cool! Service to pick up my tickets at the gondola window was super slow. Once at the top you can self-tour the winery. Then you have a seated wine tasting. A great experience with good wines. Fun!

If you're going to visit only one winery in Napa, this ought to be a pretty safe bet. It all starts with the aerial tram which is nice. The walking tour is informative, but not too long and there are tasting stations along the way to keep you going. The views are what really sets this apart from most or... More

Went with my wife and toddler. We wanted to visit a winery without boring our kid to death so we chose sterling vineyard for the tram ride. The basic package includes the tram ride, a self guided tour at the top, a souvenir wineglass and four tastings of wine. We found the winery itself (designed in the style of a... More
