In the past, I considered this as a "must" for any first time visitor to wine country. You have to pay for the gondola ride to the top of the hill where the winery is situated, but it was well worth the modest charge. The views are spectacular from the gondola as well as from several vantage points along the... More

Take the gondola ride to the winery--gorgeous. Wines were delicious, tastings all throughout the property. Do NOT miss this vineyard. Views from the terrace on top are incredible.

My husband and I have never been wine tasting before so we had no idea what to expect. The tram ride was short but fun and a great way to start the tour. We did the Silver tour. New to this "sport" we really enjoyed learning about the wine making process and what goes into it. The staff there were... More

Sterling Vineyards - Finally; we have travelled to the infamous Napa Valley! Be sure to bring your wallet, and lots of money! The first vineyard we contacted by phone, immediately requested my credit card number; before I even had explained my interest in their vineyard? We elected to stop, and tour Sterling Vineyards , mostly out of convenience; as there... More

The Sterling Vineyards has scenic views, the tour is informative and there was plenty of wine to taste. I would consider myself a beginner and thought it was a great start. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Sterling Vineyards was our 3rd stop on our first day of wine tasting in Napa Valley. We had been told by others to do the Silver Experience here and we were glad we did. Unique to this vineyard is the tram ride up the mountain which is fun and scenic. Once at the top you begin tasting as you walk... More

This was a spontaneous visit so I didn't know you took a tram to the tasting room. I'm not afraid of heights, but, wow! Incredible views of Calistoga though! Wine is fine, go for the views and friendly people. Also cool artwork on top level.

This vineyard is absolutely stunning; from the parking lot you take a cable-car up the mountain to the winery. Fabulous views of the entire valley. The tour is self-guided, and there are a number of different options for food and snacks. Highly recommend this vineyard!

What a treat among the many wineries in Napa Valley. You should start here and work your way back down. The wine and service were fabulous not to mention the beautiful views.

Very nice winery to visit, it is pricey 39$ per person , this includes the gondola ride, the winery self guided tour the tasting plus and extra tastings in a beautiful setting We knew the wines we served the whites at our daughter's wedding , we do not care so much for their red, just a question of taste, and...
