This has a lovely view after you take the tram to the top. Unfortunately this was the highlight of the visit. It is all self-guided. The wine was nothing memorable and it is very touristy. Do not go expecting someone to explain all the different wines and how they are made. It was not horrible but so many more fun... More

The wines are just ok (whites better than reds), but even as snobby wine drinkers, we enjoyed the experience. The views are incredible and breathtaking. The tour is self-guided and quite informative. You aren't talked to death by servers trying to sell you wine and instead left to just take it all in. Worth the $29 for the tram ride,... More

Sterling Vineyards offers beautiful views of the valley but the wine tasting experience was very commercialized. Large TV screens and digitized voices tell of the wine-making process. My group joked that the only thing missing was animatronic figures. The wine was nothing to write home about and I would not recommend it to serious wine drinkers. The whole experience was... More

We were visiting Napa for a day, and after reading online article, this was a place for family. After arriving on the grounds, we paid the admission fee for 2 adults ( $29 apiece) plus I believe is $10 per kid. We did ask if they serve sparkling wine for kids, and the cashier told us YES. You will get... More

The tour begun with a tram ride which included an impeccable view over the vineyard. I was completely speechless once I arrived at the top. I was blown away by the view. The girls and I did par-take in a delicious wine tasting after we completed the self-guided tour. I considered this place, the place to visit before exiting Napa,... More

I have visited Sterling Vineyards three times. The view from the cable car and the top of the property is by far the best I have seen in Napa Valley. The building is also beautiful and the tour is informative and interesting. The tour fee also includes the cable car ride up to the winery and it is a great... More

Sterling was a unique experience for us! This was our first winery/tasting in Napa. We did the VIP Silver package which was worth the extra $10 each...you had a sit down table with your party (it was just 2 of us) with 5 additional tastings above the 4 that you already had! The wines were good but the views were... More

My wife and I aren't big wine drinkers, and this was our first winery tour ever, so we didn't have much to compare it to until a few days later once we'd visited a few other places. The gondola ride was nice and is the main thing that sets this place apart. The tour is self-guided, so it's not very... More

The winery itself is beautiful and the views from the various terraces you will walk through are amazing. This winery had a different concept than most for our visit. While the other wineries had a personal guide take us through the winery, and then explain each variety of wine tasted, Sterling was more of a "do it yourself" tour. The... More

A bit over the top and pricey, but well worth it. At first the ticket girl clearly projected boredom and didn't explain the ticket pricing. There is a regular tour price and then you can upgrade to have a personal tasting in the tasting room. nor did she explain how the gondola was the only way to get up the... More
