We visited Sterling Vimetards upon recommendation from a friend and the great reviews we had read. We loved this vineyard. The views from the terrace are incredible and the tasting you room is gorgeous. We also purchased amazing wine to bring home with us. This vineyard was our favorite of the four we visited.

By far, and without exception, this is THE place to go in Napa for a fantastic wine experience. First the wine. It is very good and moderately priced. It is available throughout the country so we almost didn't go here on our "wine" vacation but I am so glad we did. The facility is atop a mountain and it is... More

On our 5th wedding anniversary, we decided to take a 2-day visit to the Napa Valley area. We had never been anywhere like this (from Galveston Island, Texas), and this was our first place to visit. It was a slightly rainy day, but we made the most of it. Sterling was about a 20 minute drive from our hotel (Westin... More

Spent few hours inside the Sterling Vineyards for a wine tasting tour. Tour tackled about the history and procedure of wine making. Had 3 glasses of their house wines and got a souvenir wine glass from them. The last wine which is a dessert wine was my favorite! Chilled for few minutes to enjoy and appreciate the great view.

Sterling offers a self-guided tour, which is more my style, since I prefer to take my time. Sterling also provides more wine samples than some of the other wineries in the area. The gondolier was another nice touch as you have to take this to the actual wine making facility. Excellent place... be sure to drop by here!

While the tram ride is very cool, I was a bit disappointed with the wine tasting. I have always been a Sterling wine fan, however, the wines that I sampled left me feeling flat. The wines did not appear to be at the typical caliber. I will try them again this summer for a comparison since I do believe in... More

More of a tourist spot, a lot of the folks pouring don't know much about wine :) but they're very friendly and the view, experience, and education is a lot of fun. Great gift shop, too. If you're traveling with friends who don't drink this is a very memorable stop.

Beautiful grounds and winery. Disappointed that we didn't get to ride the tram to the winery but were chauffeured by bus instead. Staff very pleasant and friendly. A definite 10.

The ride to and from the winery provides great views. For the price of admission we had a nice guided tour with wine samples along the tour route. It was a self-guided tour that was well marked and informative. I pleasantly felt no pressure to buy more wine or to join a wine club.

After looking at many reviews we decided to give Sterling Vineyard a try on our first trip to Napa. The trams were closed for maintenance and we were told that they did not have the general admission so we had to take the Silver experience. We got on a mini bus and started the 'tour'. There was no explanation and... More
