Riding up to the top of the winery in a gondola was a great kick off. The views from several tasting stations throughout the property were breathtaking. At the end you can sit down and enjoy the last series of tasting with food (add'l cost). This was my favorite vineyard because of the spread.

This was the best formatted Vineyard of the day. After taking a gondola ride up you can enjoy the views and various tasting stations scattered throughout the property. When you're done there is a tasting room/restaurant where you can top off the tasting and grab a bite, the bite comes at an extra fee though. Not to mention their wall of... More

This was our first stop in a tour of some of Napa Valley's wineries. I think we set the bar pretty high with this place. At first, I was a little worried about the cost - but it does include the gondola ride, the tour and tasting of a few wines. In the end, we splurged for the silver experience,... More

We don't drink Sterling wines at home often, but it was a must see for us just to experience the gondola ride. The views are breathtaking! We did the seated tasting upstairs and enjoyed it as well. It was a rainy day, so it was quiet and we just about had the whole place to ourselves. Enjoyable visit.

The electricity power was out so we only could take the gondola up hill but not down. We couldn't buy any wine because the gift store was closed. We had to wait for 1and half hour for the shuttle to take us back to the parking lot. They didn't compensate anything other than "half cup" of chocolate. They could resume... More

Sterling was our first stop of the day and we were extremely pleased. The ride up to the winery was breathtaking. You could see all the vineyards and rolling hills as you climbed toward the actual winery. Once we were at the winery, our expectations continued to be exceeded. The way they have the tour set up was very well... More

The unusual setting on a hilltop with views of the Valley, the gondola ride to the top, a self guided tour where you are not rushed, punctuated with the tasting of five (or more if you chose) wines makes a visit to Sterling Vineyards an exceptional experience. A visit to Sterling is an excellent way to learn about wine making... More

My boyfriend and i visited Sterling on a Friday afternoon, the winery was pretty quiet but it was great for our 1st time visiting a vineyard. We are not very big into wines and are not very educated since we don't drink wine that often but sterling was a perfect place to explore. Everything from the gondola ride to the... More

Sterling Vineyard separates itself from the other winery's with its location. Set upon a knoll in the valley, accessible via a tram ride, a self guided winery tour ends with a spectacular view of the vineyards in the valley from their south patio. The only thing that would have made this winery tour better would have been a wine bar... More

We aren't wine drinkers but we decided to splurge and get the deluxe ticket which gives you access to their gondola that takes you to the top of the hill to their winery. We were given several samples of wine to try and the self-guided tour was wonderful. Very interesting to learn about the process of wine-making. The views from... More
