My boyfriend and i visited Sterling on a Friday afternoon, the winery was pretty quiet but it was great for our 1st time visiting a vineyard. We are not very big into wines and are not very educated since we don't drink wine that often but sterling was a perfect place to explore. Everything from the gondola ride to the... More

Sterling Vineyard separates itself from the other winery's with its location. Set upon a knoll in the valley, accessible via a tram ride, a self guided winery tour ends with a spectacular view of the vineyards in the valley from their south patio. The only thing that would have made this winery tour better would have been a wine bar... More

We aren't wine drinkers but we decided to splurge and get the deluxe ticket which gives you access to their gondola that takes you to the top of the hill to their winery. We were given several samples of wine to try and the self-guided tour was wonderful. Very interesting to learn about the process of wine-making. The views from... More

If you are going to do wine tasting, may as well get a fantastic view out of the deal. This winery has a gondola that takes you up the hill to their facilities with an amazing view of the whole Napa valley. The tour is self guided with multiple stops for tasting. It was incredibly hot when we were there,... More

The views from Sterling Vineyard of Napa are a WOW. You start off by taking a Gondola ride to the vineyard. The tour itself is self guided. With plenty of stops to try their different wines. We paid for the premium wine tasting. If you mention the website article and get their by 12, you save $10 a person. The... More

The facilities are beautiful; the views are breath taking. I really enjoyed the fact the tastings were on different balconies throughout the facilities instead of one bar. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent review was because it was pricey, but most wineries are starting to charge for tastings so this is becoming a fact of life in... More

amazing building and views however the winery has a lackluster theme park industrial feel from the TV robotic tour explanation in every room , the large scale feel and sales push. the employees are wonderful very helpful and affable.

The tram ride up the hill was a good feature. The self-guided tour was simple to follow. The wine tastings were good and we got to keep the glasses. There was a small gift-shop with no pressure to buy. I enjoyed a nice, relaxing visit there.

Fall is for sure the best season to go there, with all the colorful trees around. The wine tasting is fun just in itself, but additionally they have a gondola which brings you up and you have the beautiful views over the valley.

Visited the Sterling Winery over the weekend. You have to take a ride on the tram to get up to the actual winery. And once you arrive you will still have a lot of stair claiming to do just to get to each tasting station. The all-white building has a very modern feel although it was inspired by Greek architecture.... More
