This winery is a beauty, up on a hill with a view of the valley. Make sure to arrive before noon for a discount. Great wine tastings and lovely pictures to view in the main tasting room. Take advantage of their wine sales.

What beautiful grounds! The tram ride to the top was an added bonus. We did the Silver tour, so we went upstairs to the restaurant and participated in a tasting with some cheeses and breads. Its a wonderful tour, well worth the trip.

My husband and I were excited to take the ride up to the vineyard but were disappointed when we had to share our gondola w strangers. It was awkward and a tight space. When we got up we did a walk through tour w tasting. - staff was not very experienced as in other vineyards or as polished. I did... More

I always bring first time visitors to this winery. The over-all experience is wonderful. Starting with the ride up top to the winery (but it is pricey). Then your self pace, self guided tour with stopping points with tastings. The staff is extremely friendly at then end you are rewarded with the beautiful terrace and it's breath-taking view of the... Tour the winery and at various stops sample the next wine from the wine tasting program. Beautiful vistas from various patios including of Castillo di Amorosa across the valley.

We only had time to tour one winery while visiting Napa with our family. We chose Sterling because it had been mentioned as "family-friendly" on several websites. Of course, we weren't expecting them to be served wine, but thought perhaps they would be offered grape juice or the like. They had nothing for the kids at all except for several... More

We made reservations for the "Silver Tour" a few months in advance. We took their cable car up to the winery, then toured the winery with various tasting stops along the route and ending up on the outside patio over looking the Napa Valley for another flight of wine tasting and cheese and meat plates. We then went to store... More

While on vacation in Napa we decided to visit Sterling Vineyards. $39 per person for the Silver tasting included the very short tram ride up, self guided tour,(basic and not that interesting), 4 tastings including their reserve wines (what a joke as 2 of them were poured as part of the regular admission), a special viewing of their art (all... We did the silver tasting experience. If you mention you went to website you get $10 off. The grounds are beautiful. The tram ride is worth it to see the valley from above. The wines were ok. Not my favorite but good. Hostess was so nice at tasting. Gave us great recommendations and 50% off club.

Visiting With my sister for her birthday. I wanted to take her to some of the wineries that we had visited with my parents before my Dad had passed. This used to be a favorite - being reached via a scenic gondola ride - greeted with friendly welcoming people to a self guided tour ending on a lovely patio for... More
