The views are spectacular. The tram ride is cool. The self guided tour is not worth the money. The staff seemed bored and slightly put out with the guests. It was a bit of a let down after some of the other wineries we toured.

This was the most unique winery we visited. You take a tram up the hill to the main tasting facility and are greeted by phenomenal views of the napa valley. You can see both mountain ranges and the valley floor with its scenic vineyards. Spectacular! The wines were wonderful as well. After a week of crummy weather, we were blessed... More

We did the premium upgraded tasting and I would have expected more. The tram and the views were great. The tour itself is self guided so it is not very engaging. When you get to the last stop you can have lunch or a snack on the terrace. We ordered Hummus and spent the whole time listening to the servers... More

We needed a winery that would be nice with kids... This was it. The tram is super fun our kids loved the ride and the views even though it was a rainy day out. We were greeted off the tram with a nice glass of wine ( you even get to keep the souvenir glasses). Nice pours and tastings as... More

Although I had a fantastic time, the cost for this tour was rather high. Therefore, my consumer surplus wasn't extreme. Overall, there was a fun tram, decent wine, incredible views, and friendly staff. The weather was piss poor, an I expected a fire place or heat lamp for the price we paid. Perhaps they could fix that. Also, the meal... More

My wife and I stopped here during our first trip to Napa and Sonoma Valley. First off, we are by no means wine experts. We enjoy wine, we enjoy travel and we feel that both should be enjoyed as a personal experience. That all said, there is much to enjoy at this winery stop. The ride to the top on... More

OK so this was very disney-esque but still, it was a must do to take the tram to the top of the winery. The view was amazing although I was completely terrified the entire time, as it reawakened my fear of heights I had forgotten about until then. The tram ride includes several tastings. Wines are decent and very reasonably... More

We wanted an easy-to-get-to vineyard and picked this one because it had a gondola ride up to the facilities. Nice self-guided tour of an old family-owned property. Just wished they served light snacks with the seated wine tasting (it was an additional charge on top of an already pricey entrance fee.)

The view from the top is fantastic. The only vineyard which has a cable car to go up to its facility. You can do unguided tours and get to taste three different wines. There are TV monitors explaining the processes at different locations. Spend time at the upper terrace with your wine. The wine glasses may be kept as souvenirs!

In this attraction, you climb aboard a cable car to view the vineyards in their entirety. You have about 5 stops in your walk-yourself tour. At each stop, a wine expert tells you about the wine they'll let you sample. You also get to keep your Sterling Vineyards wine glass as a souvenir. We went at closing time, which was... More
