We took the Silver experience which included 7 tastings. Each of which were delicious. I don't like reds too much so our server made selections for me that were not on the tasting list for the day. We also added a cheese plate which was a great option to have at 11a after a couple of tastes for a lightweight... More

Sterling is one of the numerous wineries in Napa valley and while not the hippest, generally produces decent table wines. But the real thing has always been, at least since the mid 70s or so, the tramway up the hill to the winery, the tour and the tasting room. Now, though, haul out your wallet, kids: 25 for the basic... More

This place is big and corporate but it is in a great settling. The gondola ride is nice but probably unnecessary. The wines we tasted were pretty solid without being exceptional. The self guided tour is easy to follow.

not to be missed. the wines are wonderful... gondola ride to the top is a fun perspective. splurge for the silver tasting and enjoy the art and veranda of the tasting room.

The best part of this place is the Gondola ride to the top for scenic views. But, this winery seemed to touristy and "showy". Not my cup of tea (or glass of wine in this case). Kinda pricey too for what you get, which isn't much.

We were visiting my cousin and her husband. So we went to do some wine tasting. Well organised tour with some excellent wines. Only negative is they didn't tell us,on purchasing win, that we couldn't ship our own wines.

The gondola ride is amazing, the views and scenery are breathtaking. Felt like I was in Italy. I don't drink alcohol but since it was a vineyard I decided to try some of the wines they offered for sampling and actually found one I didn't mind. It was a very enjoyable experience.

We went to sterling after the castle and we weren't sure what to expect but from the outset it seemed to be a more modern facility. That said, we took a self guided tour and we weren't sure what we were looking at at any given time. We saw machines, that I'm sure did something to the grapes but I'm... More

This is not a winery for the most interesting variety of wines, or the best wines honestly. It is run a bit like a factory, churning our hundreds in the high season with a walk around the main house to see "how wine is made" on placards. But, everyone comes because you ride up to the vineyard in a ski-lift,... More

Do this one. It was fantastic! Ordered a case of wine. Like Europe. Go up the gondola, be in a high-overlooking beautiful building. They do not skimp on the tastings here.
