We had our first visit to the links in Scotland here at this lovely course. The weather was really quite nice and the golf course in fine condition. Views are great. The caddies were very helpful -- they were actually members of the club as our group from the Kalos tour had more than 50 players that day. This spot... More

I just can't find the right words to use to say how beautiful this links course it is. I love ancient links courses and Machrinhanish is definitely among the best links courses I have ever played. The course was in fantastic conditions and I had much fun, with stunning views on the ocean, the islands and the Mull of Kyntire.... More

Machrihanish is without doubt my favourite Scottish Links Course, a MUST play for any golfer. It features some truly spectacular holes, no weak score-makers and offers unbeatable views of the Atlantic and the islands of Islay, Jura. There were 2 reasons we wanted to play here ... the Exceptional 1st hole which requires your opening Drive to carry the Atlantic... More

This traditional links golf course is open to non members and is a joy to play. Skirting the Atlantic Ocean it offers golfers a great opportunity to experience a traditional links course the is available to all. With a well stocked professional shop, and all day catering in the clubhouse, you will not be disappointed when you visit.

Played Machrihanish Golf Club in early July and found it a wonderful test of golf in great condition. The first tee shot is a real 'cracker' as it involves a drive over the Atlantic Ocean. The fairways and greens are in Fantastic Condition and the course itself is a true test of links golf. Both the Pro Shop and Clubhouse... More

Really good golf course, one of the best links courses I have played. Eat in the clubhouse abd the food was good and very reasonable.

Visited with friends after playing the dunes. We were made to feel very welcome from The moment we arrived and were given half priced vouchers for a return visit as part of our 4 ball. Course was excellent from minute one and the opening tee shot was golfing heaven. Greens and course were in excellent condition and if this course... More

Greens & fairways in good condition, however the walk way from green to tees are awful, you could break an ankle if not careful. Did not like so many blind shots, but typical of this type of links course

Dear Mr Stanley, Thank you for taking the time to comment about Machrihanish Golf Club on Trip Advisor. The committee, members and staff all of whom take great pride in our historic Golf Club will be as disappointed as I was as Captain to read your appraisal as to the state of the paths between Green and Tees. Needless to... More
