Bottom line up front... Don't expect this to be some high in fancy dinosaur museum... It's kind of like a road side redneck gift shop museum thingamajiggy. You can tell that a lot of the pieces were hastily spray-painted , with two by fours for informational boards below. And some other random curious creatures placed throughout the places that do... We've seen these several times and stopped to see the dinosaurs again. Its a quick stop right off the 10 freeway. We find these fun to see. The site features Dinny the Dinosaur, a 150-ton Brontosaurus, and Mr. Rex, a 100-ton Tyrannosaurus Rex structure. Dinny was first started to be built in 1964 for Mr. Knott's Wagon Wheel Restaurant. Mr..... More

On a drive to Joshua Tree we made a stop here. This is a 2 star museum, with pretty busted displays. But 5 stars for kitschy factor. We loved it. And had a blast taking ridiculous pictures of ourselves with the busted props. Our daughter actually learned a lot about the different kinds of dinosaurs. It was a very fun... More

It was a good place to get out and stretch our legs. The 9 year old enjoyed it way more than the 16 year old, but that was expected. It was and ok time, but once you've been there, no reason to go back.

Made this stop on our way back from Palm Springs. It's right of the freeway,  and down the street from the outlet mall. The two giant dinosaurs located adjacent to the parking lot were very cool.  These giants are huge and are a great photo op that are free of charge.  We should've stopped there. We proceeded to pay and... More

I remember seeing these Dinosaurs the very first time I visited America when I was 7. They are absolutely huge! You can pay $10 to walk round and see other smaller dinosaurs and you can climb up into the mouth of the Trex, However I would only recommend doing this if you have children. They can dig in a sandpit... More

The dinosaurs are a cool stop on a road trip. They are photogenic and are iconic. They are in decent condition, but what isn't is the "museum." Don't waste your money on this. The museum is 10 per person and believe me, not worth a dime. It's a walk through a maze of overgrown weeds scattered with very old and... More

There's only one reason I drove all they way out into the desert for this: Pee Wee's Big Adventure. I saw this movie a lot when I was a kid and always wished I could see those dinosaurs in person. Wish granted 20 years later. It did not disappoint! Though I didn't feel the need to spend more than 30... More
