Yocha Dehe Golf Club is one of Northern California's true hidden gems. Set...

Yocha Dehe Golf Club is one of Northern California's true hidden gems. Set in the gentle hills of Capay Valley- midway between Sacramento and San Francisco- Yocha Dehe is both a secluded and peaceful setting for golf. Surrounded by farmland, a few of the golf holes are bordered by vineyards, and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation that owns the course and nearby casino makes its own wine. But if you are staying at Cache Creek Casino Resort, located one mile from the golf course, you won't be lacking for action. First opened in 1985 as a small bingo hall, Cache Creek today is a 415,000-square-foot facility that includes a 200-room, four-diamond luxury hotel, a health spa, eight restaurants, and a bustling gaming floor. The resort is only 15-20 miles from Napa Valley as the crow flies, but unlike Napa Valley, the Capay Valley is a well-kept secret, with much of the play coming through word of mouth, players telling their friends about the immaculate conditions and high level of service.

Hi gang, Found a day to myself, gassed up the 'Vette, grabbed the GPS and headed for some golf. I found a good price on GolfNow ($69 plus $2.50 Reservation Fee) and wanted to check out what I've been hearing about for a coupla years now. Driving time was about 75 mins. They take your bag at the bag drop... More

From the moment you get there, you know it is special. The carts are upholstered with fabric on their bucket seats. They have 3D GPS on each cart. Everywhere you look there is a nice view. The Driving range is up on a hill where you hit down to various green with flags. The first hole is a straight shot... More

Well worth the drive and the $95 to play. Always in excellent condition, well maintained and traps are full of quality sand. The layout is fair and challenging. As for the greens, what you see is what you get from a break perspective. Very fast, which I like. The restaurant, pro shop and service throughout the property are first class.... More

My wife and I played Wednesday, 10/22/14. This was our second time here. The first time was with 35 mph winds, and we wanted another shot at the course under better conditions. It exceeded our expectations! It was the most stress-free golf day ever. The staff, the golf shop, the range, the course; all were more than anyone could expect.... More

The course is situated in a valley and features some hills and water. It is a lovely course to look at and the conditions are quite good. Although it does not look challenging it is. Holes tend to be long for an occasional golfer, but it is the rough which is most challenging.

We played the course during the severe drought. The course was in surprisingly good condition for the situation. The course is beautiful and challenging but fair. We have played this course about 3-4 times and what really stands out is the customer service. From the bag valet, complimentary cold bottled water on the cart and in refrigerators on the course... The course is absolutely beautiful, a completely top notch facility. Drop your bags with valet and rolled terry cloth hand towels in the restroom should describe the type of course this is. Great carts, iced bottled water everywhere (included), beverage carts patrolling, ability to order food via the onboard GPS etc. Course itself is outstanding, and yes difficult but really... More

The course is layed out very well. The fairways are lush and the rough is maintained at a playable level. I had a couple of issue's. First, range balls are provided with the round and when I started to warm up an attendant came out and told me the range was closed. It was 2:30 in the afternoon. No one... More

Great course. When we had our round, the course was wide open. They also have a well-maintained driving range facility. We played from the men's white and it was still quite challenging, but not intimidating. From the elevated first tee box to the 18th, the course design was very interesting and required good course management. And in the unlikely event... More
