There is a good 4x drive road called Rodriquez Canyon that starts at the foot of Banner Grade. It passes several abandoned gold mines. The Chariot Canyon mine is the best preserved as it was last active in the 1950's. It is hard going to follow the road all the way through to Oriflame Canyon but it is possible. It... More
