The two of us spent a wonderful afternoon with Captain Rich aboard his boat on the sunniest, best climate weekend of the summer in Bodega bay. All the locals raved about the perfect balance of sun but mild temperatures and no fog or overcast. Rich was super friendly, engaging and quick witted company the entire 3 hours we spent on... More

Rich, the owner, is really laid back. Will do what you want and go where you want. My husband sails so he let him do a lot of the sailing. That was great for us. Rich's little 4 year old came along and since I love kids, this was a plus for me. He was quite entertaining. Rich himself provided... More

The next time I visit wine country, I am staying in Bodega Bay. It is a beautiful little place on the coast and less expensive than time warped Calistoga (although I did love Calistoga).

We came out to Bodega Bay to get away from it all and enjoy the water. My husband enjoys sailing so we came upon Bodega Bay Sailing and signed up. We had the best time on that sailboat. Captain Rich was so much fun. He was entertaining and knowledgeable. My husband got to help sail and get a sailing lesson.... More

Captain Rich was very business-like in the beginning, making sure we knew all the safety rules and regulations and insisted that we all wear life jackets for our own safety. Once we started going into the bay, the businessman left and the friend took over. Don't get me wrong, he was professional, but a lot of fun too. He pointed... More

My 3 sisters and I scheduled a sailing trip with Bodega Bay Sailing and Capt. Rich on Fathers Day. It was a pleasure riding across the waves and listening to stories that were entertaining and informative. Even with the choppy waves that day, Capt. Rich found us a little whale and we saw a small island covered in seals and... More

We went sailing with Captain Rich and another couple on Friday morning last week at 10 am and had a good time. The sailboat is pretty nice, although the view straight ahead in front of the sailboat is limited by a canopy, but we took turns standing in the cabin from time to time if we got tired of the... We went sailing with Rich for my 50th birthday in April and it was one of the highlights of our trip to California! Not only is he an experienced sailor but he was very entertaining! I don't know what we enjoyed most the views, watching the sea lions and dolphins or his great stories and wonderful sense of humor! If... More

I just returned from a three hour tour with Bodega Bay Sailing where I was on board Captain Rich Crumley's sailing vessel. Rich has been sailing all kinds of waters since he was six years old and I felt very safe and secure with him. Rich took us out of the bodega bay channel to Seal Rock where all the... More
