Beautiful place to go and give yourself peace of mind. I love looking out into the ocean and even dipping my feet in the water as well. This is a great location to go if you want to relieve some stress.

All the beaches on the north coast are easy to access and absolutely beautiful. Bodega Bay (Doran Beach state park) is about one hour north of San Francisco. maybe longer due to traffic.

Nice beach (not free). Friendly dogs are allowed to run loose...but be sure to take doggie doo bags. Lots of room to walk and roam.

Sandy beach. Nice campground. October is the best weather month in my opinion. You can hear the fog horn and seals. Fishing off the jetty. Boat ramp. Bird watching on the opposite side of the road from the beach. Great fun for the family.

Walking on this beach gives you the peace and quiet you're looking for in Bodega Bay. Maybe 10 people on the beach in the middle of a Friday afternoon. Disappointed that on this day Mother Nature didn't supply any shells or pebbles to bring home as souvenirs, but it is still a wonderful place to chill.

A great flat long beach for walking. We even saw a whale about 50 yards off the beach when we visited in May 2014.

Turning 2 miles of beach into a 4 mile beach walk is great exercise. Lots of wild life and great weather.

We have been going to Doran Beach to camp for over 30 years. Our most recent visit was a day visit and did we hit the jackpot! No wind and a beautiful sunny day. Things we love at Doran .... the fog horn, the jetty watching the fishing boats going in and out , the smell of the ocean. So... More

There are nice long sections of beach and a few rock jettys to explore when it's low tide. Worth the money and fun for the whole family. Bring a kite for an extra bit of windy day fun.
