This is our second time here swimming with the grandkids, they (and us) absolutely loved it here. This is a very family friendly beach with grassed area for picnics. It seemed to be a very popular place. Clancy's Fish Bar is right there for fantastic food.

With plenty of parking, vast grassed areas, playgrounds and Clancy's Fish Bar directly overlooking the water what could be better? Definitely

Such a lovely beach, most of the beaches in Perth are windy but this one is just great to lay and relax the waves weren't too strong and there was only a light sea breeze really lovely beach to chill on would recommend if you don't want too much wind

Not sure if this is the usual case every Dec. But when we visited the City Beach, en-route from Swan Valley to Fremantle, it was very cold and windy (or at least to our standard). The wind was very strong and chilling. The waves were rather strong too and we did not see any swimmer or surfer. We had lunch... More

If you want to experience a beautiful sunset sitting on the soft white sand that too within a short drive from Perth city then this is the Beach. The waves are good for surfers. You can walk along the beach and enjoy the walk on the wooden bridge on the beach.

One of my favourite beaches! The sand is powdery and there's plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the wind, waves and sun!

My partner and i headed for city beach around midday, soft powdery sand and warm wild waves! BBQ facilities weren't clean. we would recommend bringing some spray bleach and a scouring pad. BUT then that sunset was incredible!!!! all in all a good day out.

Lawn, shadey trees, parking , Clancy's Fish Pub and cafe... its pretty terrific without mentioning the family friendly beach of pristine white sand and gorgeous Indian Ocean water. ( wear footwear on your feet in summer as beach is wide and can get hot)
