Lots of Galen Rowell images but also carries other photographers in large print sizes. The walls are covered with great images. Has some woodworking on display also. No pressure sales staff that will let you just enjoy the collection. Plenty of parking around the back. Turn at the traffic light and parking is on the east side of the building.

Do not miss this gallery. The permanent and temporary photos and art are outstanding. There is no pressure to buy anything, but if you want quality mementos, you will find it hard to resist.

We have been to this galley several times. The landscape photography is outstanding. If you enjoy photography, treat yourself to some time studying Galen Rowell's work. No high pressure sales. Staff leaves you alone.

Many beautiful prints of a master landscape photographer are on display at this very nice gallery. While all the photos are for sale you are left to absorb the images without anyone bothering you. If you are a photographer visiting the east side of the Sierras you owe it to yourself to stop here.

There's not too much to do in Bishop, so this was a treat. Photographs are worth seeing, and while they are for sale (and not cheap) no one bothers you.

I've been a fan of the work of the Rowells for years. This was a first time visit to the gallery and it is even more stunning up close and personal. If you are in Bishop, this is a must stop for any fan of outdoor (especially mountain) photography. Best of all, it's free!

Photographs by the great Galen Rowell, tragically killed in a small plane accident, piloted by his wife. Excellent photos, be sure and walk through here.

I came here based on the Yelp reviews even though it wasn't really central to my interests, but am really glad I did. The photographs are beautiful, and it's a very pleasant and relaxing place to visit. A large, airy gallery that still is comfortable and not off-putting. I didn't buy anything but several of the pictures have stuck in... More

Galen Rowel and his wife Barbara Rowel were photographers of international fame. The collection of his works in this gallery are breathtaking. Visit if you are in Bishop.
