If you love horse racing, and even if you don't, this is a great place to have a meal, snack and watch world class horses race on grass or track at various lengths. The first race started at 12:45 and there were 10 other races up until 5:30. So you can be here all day or you can leave early.... More

Visiting relatives in the Bay Area we decided to check out Golden Gate Fields. Made reservations at the Turf Club. Parking off if Gilman Sreet costs $10 where you can self park or valet. Outside the views are nice. Turf Club on Saturdays and Sundays plus holidays costs $15. We went on a Sunday. Had food from the buffet and... More

Clean attractive atmosphere for a track. Good value. Worth paying to park and use the Clubhouse. Have been there with groups and very comfortable

This is a fun place to watch the horse races. When we go we usually get the buffet brunch, some drinks....and then sit back and look over the racing program and do some small bets on the horses. Miraculously, we usually end up even or ahead (beginner's luck - I guess). The entire experience at Golden Gate fields is family... More

I've been here for lunch with a friend. More than a race track, and that said, if you like horse raising you probably already know about Golden Gate Fields.

Though it is seedy,it's a GREAT TIME.Great place to people watch. The kids(age 8 and 11) and girlfriend love it. We went on a rainy day and bet $5 on all the long shots. Won 2 of them and came home with more money than we started with!

Horse racing is entertaining even if you don't want to gamble. The Sunday dollar days make it an affordable day too. When we went there were ponies for kids to ride, and ducks & goats to pet. The race track facilities aren't brand-new but you get what you pay for. I was disappointed that the seats don't overlook the Bay,... More

actually i've never been here. i used to walk my dog in the dump beside the track's parking lot. sometimes i was stuck in the lot by glazed over driver's too focused on losing their bucks to pay attention to traffic.

Using a Living Social deal, we planned for box seats but upgraded to the Turf Club for a fabulous day at the horse races. First, this is one of the nicest racing facilities I've ever been to with great views from every part of the facility--even the bathrooms overlook the San Francisco Bay! The food at the Turf Club is... More

GGF is an okay place to have some fun betting on the ponies, but it has seen better days. Compared to other tracks like Del Mar and Lonestar Park, this one is simply "meh" A recent Saturday afternoon visit was our first time to the track, and we decided to use the valet parking. We had originally wanted to sit... More
