The Greek is a hallmark for Berkeley citizens. It's hosted some of the hottest artists including Lorde, The Weeknd and Childish Gambino and is a hotspot for residents of Berkeley and University students alike. The only downside is that it can get quite chilly at night and it isn't that great of a venue for rainy days.

The theater is located in a beautiful setting in the Berkeley Hills on the UC Campus. The seating area is extremely crowded and very uncomfortable. It is difficult to move, take a drink, access your camera and exit your seat. You must crawl over everyone in your aisle's feet to enter and exit your seat. The location is gorgeous. The... More

The Geek is a great venue, with surprisingly good acoustics. It can be (very!) cold if you are not well prepared and parking is always a a challenge. But if you take appropriate layers, the rest of the experience is great.

My friend & I attended a concert at this venue. It was our 2nd time. The venue seems to be at the top of a small hill. There is a parking garage next door as well as a 2nd one a block or so away but if the show is popular, those spaces become full FAST. Since there was alot... More

First time to Greek Theatre! Wonderful venue! Great seats! General seating to see Of Monsters and Men. We were directly behind the throne seats! Other than lots of people walking by the seats had a great view! Got there early and filled up fast! Outdoors! Didnt get too cold. Definitely wear layers. As the night got later did get a... More

A friend and I went to see Duran Duran at this venue and were pleasantly surprised (we had never been there before). While there was a lot of climbing involved and the stone seats were a tad uncomfortable for the 4 hour show (tried to stand as much as possible), the acoustics were great and the food choices were amazing... The venue is nice, easily assessable and parking is straightforward. The sound was excellent and the cement seats are not such a worry when you are up dancing anyway. Concessions were a drag. I LOVE that they had Heineken, but the lines were stoopidly long, and the clerks had to use calculators for simple math...which held up the lines. THE... More

This is a unique outdoor amphitheater smack in the middle of the Cal/Berkeley campus. I love the walk from downtown through campus. You gradually meet more and more groups of people joining together to head to the concert, giving you a sense of community. The acoustics are fabulous. There are eats available, including Korean foods which you can smell throughout... More

Been there so many times since I was a teenager. Seen more shows here than anywhere else in my life. The only negative is that they need more restrooms.

Went to the Greek Theater for the first time to see Death Cab For Cutie. Excellent sound with nice stone work architecture. Be prepared for a walk from any parking to the venue with a decent amount of stairs to climb. Don't be tricked into paying 50 to 60 dollars to park at the fraternity houses; there is a parking...
