I played Tilden about 20 to 30 times from July to December of last year.I didn't golf there again until last Sunday (June 8), and was amazed at the improvements to the greens, fairways and tee-boxes. The course has a nice driving range and course. The restaurant isn't too bad either. With reasonable prices, and a fun course it is a must do for golfers. It is preferred over Chabot, and Alameda, so if you are lookin for a nice course, check this out. more

Overall conditions are bad, Greens are awful (slow, bumpy and inconsistent), but the biggest problem is pace of play, unless you like 6 hour rounds stay away. The only reason I'm giving it 2 dots is because Tilden does have some pretty holes. more

This is one of the best golf courses in the bay area. Not only is it a very good deal ($47 on the weekend), but it is so close to Berkeley. The staff really goes the extra mile and the course is in great condition. This is a must play. more
