I received a world class education here. But it is also a great place for visitors. Go up the campanile for a great view, but avoid the noon hour(deafening bells). Listen to the concert from below. Have your kids look for all the bear statues they can find. Take them to see T-Rex outside the Paleontology Museum. Stand on the... More

Beautiful campus... I was just visiting to see it and thought it was extremely pretty for a city campus. I'm used to small town campuses and this was different.

This was one of my favourite days of the whole trip- for about $13 we got tickets to the game. I'm British and know nothing of American football- but the atmosphere was incredible it was just like the movies- I always thought they were exaggerating! Also someone advised us to go up to grizzly peak and im so glad we... More

This is a nice place to visit if you're looking for an open space. There are pathways, benches, and a creek that runs through campus.

We planned to visit the campus as we stayed in San Francisco. It didn't disappoint us, the campus was huge and beautiful. Though, none of the buildings were opened as we went during the holiday , but just walking around and breathing the fresh air worth the walk. It would be great if there's the campus tour offered by appointment.

Walked the town & campus during the holidays when most buildings were closed. As we left the town toward the main gate, there was a "retired professor" standing on the grass giving a lecture to no one. Notably the ground were very clean and buildings were very appealing. The campus is large, but would appear small if all 35,000 students... More

It's hilarious that some buildings have Nobel prize winners parking spots! Like other campus, the restaurants around are cheap and nice.

The Berkeley campus is more about absorbing the atmosphere of the most intellectually productive place in the world. The undergraduates remain ignorant idiots just as we were decades ago. They are merely an afterthought to the faculty and graduate students who are collectively the most important and valuable people in the world.

Amazing history....1960's/1970's. We got the special tour from a Former faculty member. Quick drive for Oakland. It was a Must See on our Agenda.
