Not only is it a great school (if you can get in), there is always something going on. There are so many sporting events, concerts, and lectures, plus is just a beautiful place to take walk. You can go to the top of the campanile and get a great view of the Bay Area.

The grounds and buildings are beautiful. It is very easy to get around and to learn your way around the campus. Downtown Berkeley has a wonderful small town feel.

For those of us of a certain age, Berkeley evokes many memories of the '60s and all things counterculture. These days, these are much tamer on campus, but if in the area, a walk through the campus and surrounding areas is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. Recommended.

This is another great school with sprawling buildings. Unfortunately my son was not impressed with the engineering section which was a few non-distinct buildings off to the side. There is no Aerospace engineering program but we were able to talk to other students who originally sought aerospace and ended up in mechanical. They provided good perspective for my son and... Interesting to walk around the premises of the University. Beautiful buildings around. We didn't actually enter the University - just walked around outside. Nice blocks around the Place.

Amazing school, great vibe, fun shopping, movies and restaurants galore! Campus was full of energy. Just be aware that there are many homeless people in and around campus.

Well it's certainly up on a hill!! it's a fun campus to walk. There are gardens...lots of trees ...green space...lovely old buildings. We were there during a break so could easily get around. There's just so much history there!!

When there is an Open House, explore the campus. Picnic at the Creek. Wander through the Botanical Gardens. Park on the North side and walk down into the campus. Feel the Telegraph Avenue merchant and craftsman vibe. Go to Yogurt Park and get an original frozen yogurt that tastes like soft serve ice cream. Have an espresso across the street... More
