The neighorhood has a lof of unsavory characters and you need to be careful at night. You must walk in pairs not by yourself. A lot of homeless.

UC Berkeley is one of the greatest universities in the world. If you look closely, you will find parking spots reserved for Nobel Laureates! Yes, they get used and parking rules are enforced. It's worth walking through this campus if you are in Berkeley, as the University is so integral to the culture of the town. Nice buildings, nice parks,... More

Yes I went there but seriously a beautiful campus still and the diversity adds to the excellence. Now only if we can beat Standorf this week all is well in the world. Drive up pass Strawberry to the top where the Lawrence Labs are and enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Bay!

Had to at least drive thru Berkeley. Very large and typical campus. Beautiful buildings. Just knowing the history worth the drive

I am a proud graduate of UC Berkeley’s engineering school and even now well into my retirements, I consider it to be the best public University in the world. Currently, UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering is ranked third in the nation, competing with MIT and Stanford University at first and second, respectively. Of course both of those school tuition and... More

I attended UC Berkeley many years ago and found the school to be a bargain. My Berkeley degree has helped to keep me gainfully employed over the years and I've actually used a few of the things that I learned there. The campus is beautiful with numerous visually appealing buildings. If you do choose to attend UC Berkeley, let me... More

We decided to wander around the campus and came across some awesome stuff! Check out the dinosaurs in the life sciences building in front of the library. Also, pay the $3 fee to take the elevator up to the top of Sather Tower and take in the views. On a clear day you can see the entire bay area.

We have a habit of touring campuses of well-known unis in whatever cities we go. Thus Calif Berkeley @ Oakland was no exception. Nice stroll around a historic campus of a top uni. It was inspiring for our son. Apart from the beautiful gardens, we saw a bit of flora and fauna as well as squirrels. The students and staff... More

We walked to campus early one morning and just wandered around. The campus was bustling, and the students seemed to be rushing somewhere. The buildings are lovely, with some upgrades going on. The carillon is definitely the centerpiece of the fantastic campus. My only regret was that we did not have time to tour the vast facilities. One of the... More
