Great Theatre

One of the oldest here in town and one of the small intimate places to see good shows and old movies!

Have given up attending any concert held at this historic venue - despite a family connection related to the theatre's design. The problem is the promotion of alcohol and consumption of same. Who goes to an event to listen to a musician? Apparently in Bakersfield, the answer is not many, as there are a few diehard boozers who care less... More

This place remains a great place to be Entertaied! Sometimes the concerts can be very in intimate. They will bring a great to play who the lack lusture back culture has never heard off, like Jackson Browne. It will seem like a concert just for you. Good to great seating. Really nothing bad. The outside could be a really gathering... More

Great place to see a concert or a show, not a bad seat in the house.. Very well decorated in a old time classic manner.

We love seeing old, restored theaters from the early 20th century and the Fox Theater certainly qualifies. It's interior is a wonder to behold and is beautifully restored. This is a great entertainment venue and it would be a shame to lose it! We attended a performance of the ballet "Dracula" by San Francisco's Bay Pointe Ballet company and thoroughly... More

We should be forever grateful to the community group who saved and restored this theater. The restoration work continues but it is already an outstanding venue, primarily because it offers a great selection of entertainment throughout the year and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The concession stands are packed but somehow they get everyone served before the... More

We've been to several concerts here and it's always great. We went here for years to see movies when I was growing up. There's a lot of history to this building so it's great. If you can go to something here I'd definitely recommend it. These historic buildings are great, and so pretty.

This is the coolest, old, restored theater. They have many great artists that come and all the seats are great
