After a long drive to get there was very dissa pointed. lots of banana sellers, palm trees and not much else. Maybe we went on a bad day but I felt all the reviews I went by gave me the wrong impression...they all sounded GREAT....maybe I just missed something!

A lovely beach by a palm forest but rather difficult to access. We walked down the many steps down the cliffside on the west side of the beach. There is a car park at the top which charges €2 a day though we walked from Lefkoya, a stop on the main bus route, and visited Preveli monastery on the way.... More

A lovely place to lap up some sun - but don't come by car unless you want a workout! The way down is steep and might not be what you want to tackle after lazing around on the beach.

Actually, have not visited the beach. Thus, its rating is irrelevant. The reason, however, for writing a review is the fact that we didn't approach it by boat but we tried to reach it by driving from the Preveli Monastery junction. The dirt road is just very long and steep, inappropriate for regular vehicles. Thus, this is a warning to... More

It was a bit of an adventure getting to this beach down a long and steep stepped path from Preveli monastry, but it was worth a visit. We managed to find a shady spot under some trees and enjoyed a swim in the beautiful, glassy sea. I particularly enjoyed the walk through the palm forest, which was quire something.

The drive from Kefalas is long and dramatic in places. Follow the signs for Prevali Moni and head down to the car park where, I think, it says Palm beach aka Prevali beach. You have to pay to park and there are no toilets. Do not attempt a visit with lots of beach gear as you'll soon establish why. There... More

Palm beach is a popular destination and thus rather crowded, especially given the modest size of the beach. the little restaurant/snack shop also reflects the popularity of the beach in its attitude and pricing. however the river and palms running into the beach is unusual and worth seeing once.

We drove to the Beach and it was a haggaring white knuckle drive on a 2 way 1 lane gravel road at the top of a mountain with no guard rail. Then there was a 20 minute hike up the side of a cliff. But the views from up there are amazing! The beach itself is interesting but in my... More
