Best accessed by boat from Plakias Harbour (regular trips throughout the day) but also from the car park on the cliffs above (there are lots of steps - great going down...bit of a bugger going back up !), this is a beautiful, exclusive beach with both sand and shingle and a freshwater lagoon, with palm trees, behind it. Great for... More

Colors did not particularly fascinated by but feel like you're in the tropics walking palms trees! It is interesting to bathe in the river!

First, do be aware of the steps - there are several hundred, and they're difficult and rough (there's an alternative route with fewer steps, but it involves a decent walk, unless you have a jeep or similar). If this is not a problem for you, it's a really lovely beach. Can get crowded at peak times, and there's not a... More

It takes some commitment to get to palm beach (either by sea, or via the cliff path), but you won't be alone! The palm forest and river are very pretty, and you'll get some great photos. The beach itself is not the best in the area, but the whole trip is an experience.

From Plakias we visited Palm Beach by boat. We walked through the left (!) side of the lagune to the end of the palmtrees. There you can walk in the refreshing water and enjoy the beautiful view of the water and the rocks. At the beach you can sit in the sun or the shade. There's also a taverne where... More

Really depends what you want. If it to see the mouth of the gorge and climb mountains, then it is great. If you want to sunbathe, you will need to take your own umbrellas and mats. There is not much shade here.

My friend and I decided to take the bus to the car park area of this beach. It Looked beautiful as we were descending down the stairs but we were dissapointed that the sand was dark and dirty looking and there were a lot of people and children about. Nice, but definitely better beaches around!

if you go to the area, you have to come here. Nice, very nice. To many families with kids though, lots of screaming on the beach.

Preveli beach or palm trees beach is a magical place with so strong positive energy, which is impossible not to feel it!!! The palm trees all around the place and the river. Also, if you walk through this small paradise you will see small waterfalls with clear and cold waters from the mountains and the kourtaliotis gorge

Lovely location and very beautiful. You need to make an effort to get there - boat or partly by foot, so it seems a bit more special Able to get something to eat and drink so you do not have to carry everything Do not like the sunbeds on the beach much - spoils the charms
