Bhimtekla is something you read about in books but it is amazing to come face to face with 30,000 year old human inhabited caves. The terrain is surreal and the painting have been carbon dated for authenticity (see UNESCO website). It is useful to take a guide as he can bring romance to the visit.

Good if you are bored. Not much paint let but some places you can make out the shapes left on rocks eons ago. An expanse just crowded with rock structures. There is a small mandir near the parking be sure t go there, it's cute.

This collection of ancient rocks were the dwelling places of prehistoric tribes of people who drew pictures of humans and animals more than 12,000 years ago. More recent drawings are from the times of Ashoka the Great. You must have an informed guide to benefit from this visit.
