We went here on Good Friday, only because the nearby Archaeological Museum was unexpectedly closed for the day. In the event, it proved to be an enjoyable visit. The museum is not one building but a lot of outdoor exhibition areas on rocky hills. Carry Umbrella, water and snacks. If you can manage a cycle/transport it would be helpful as the distances are not small and with smaller kids it may be a problem. The cafeteria is pretty basic only tea, chips packets and bottled water. The exhibits... More

The household utensils and daily use items, jewellery, paintings etc. of each tribe can be experienced here. There is also an excellent museum and auditorium where varoius folk and tribal performances take place round the year. Various thematic food... More

This is a good place for children to learn about indian Culture and Evolution of Mankind. Unlike other Museums, this one does not house any collections or possessions, but a set of ideas. It highlights the richness and diversity of cultural patterns in India. It often organizes exhibitions of hand-made bags, dolls, decoratives, gifts etc. There are different clusters of... More
