This temple has been vacated, because of structure falling apart, front entrance has been guarded with iron bars, interiors are darkened, statues and figurines are carved like real life personalities. Main statues are shifted to Virupaksha Temple

This complex which houses the temple, the musical towers and the famous stone chariot is an amazing reminder of the beauty of ancient indian architecture. The monuments are well maintained and would leave you amazed at the intricacy of the work. This is a must visit amond the hampi ruins.

The temple itself is incredibly beautiful and the architecture is superb. Also the view of the market grounds of that time is amazing. One can simply sit for hours absorbing the view.

Once upon a time Hampi was the capital of Vijayanagar kingdom, which dominated a large part of south India. But today that mighty capital lies in ruins as though a reflection in the mirror of impressive past. You will enjoy nature in its stunning landscape strewn with rocky outcrops and gigantic granite boulders hemmed in lush greenery. Hampi is on... More

Quiet temple, off the other busy temple complexes, and equally soaring architecture and sculpture work. You'd do well to visit.
