this place is a goldmine for people who want to explore more about tibetan culture and their history. It is a bit of a walk to get here as it is located midway of dmshala and mcleodanj the collection at the library is very extensive, a must visit for any art lover

if you go there for a lesson , you will learn! the place is a nice walk from mc leod ganj. or you can take a taxi for few rupies. interesting place , don't miss it!

this place reflects the part, work, archives of tibet. basically dharamsala is a place of dalailama. and tis place reflects dalailama's and tibets works.

this is a place full of knowledge. you cont go around and finish viewing around in just one day. learning the language felling the spirituality wondering the art and lot more to go...place to know all and even more

The Library of Tibetan works and Archives is a beautiful building complex, nestled amonst the Tibetan Government in Exile buildings in the area called Gankyi, halfway between lower Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. If you are visiting Dharamshala and interested in Buddhism, I would highly recommend taking/joining the classes on Buddhist philosophy at the Library!

This library contains very good holdings, very informative and authentic collections. If you have interest in knowing history of Tibbet or Tibetans, this is the most appropriate place to visit.

The library is a treasure -house of Tibetan art, history and Buddhism. If you want to develop a deeper understanding of what you see from outside this is the place to visit. Not surprisingly they also have a lot of books on various aspects of China ranging from art, history, society, politics etc.The main library closes early at 5 pm... More
