So surreal, it was an amazing experience and had lovely temples. It isn't as extravagant as I expected which actually made me realise that it was about the religion and not the aesthetics that matters. Doesn't take long to go around and it's free. Can't take photographs inside.

An interesting cultural visit. We learnt a lot about the Dalai Lama, Tibet, and Buddhism. Whilst the temples are interesting they are not spectacular to look at like the Golden Temple in Amritsa. Fascinating.

A very peaceful place overlooking the Dhauladhar Range. People from all walk of life are welcome at this place which has some beautiful sculptors of Lord Buddha and other Gods. A perfect place for meditation and finding oneself.

From the moment we stepped into this place the experience was divine. There is a sense of calmness and pureness about this place . After going through the temple we sat on the bench outside on the third floor for good couple of hours and if time permitted i would have spend the entire day just sitting there . Calm... More

What can one say with the indescribable privilege & honour of being in the same temple complex where HH the Dalai Lama conducts teachings & prayers very regularly & adjacent to his residential complex - It is an amazingly simple complex & even somewhat in need of maintenance but here is the centre of Tibetan Buddhism & the source of... There is this one thing about PEOPLE that amuses me the most….’The ability to be Isolated in the most Crowded of places’. And I believe the power comes naturally in The Dalai Lama’s temple in McLeodGanj… Even being the loudest of area’s, filled with the visiting tourists, the everyday localities and the residing monks, the monastery holds peace and silence... Amazing place - this is what you came to Mcleod for. Don't expect chanting monks & dimly lit, incense filled temple. This is an open space & complex of HHDL. If you can manage to catch a pooja or public teaching, even better. If not, just soak in the stunning views, amazing energy & sacred peace of this temple.
