I visited with my office mates and spent 2 days which covers most Local Kangara sight seeing & Dharamshala. It is the place where any one want to be a happy retirement home. Very Relaxing stay awsome landscape view from the my hotel balcony.

We visited Palampur for a wedding and spent a few days in the Kangra Valley- Dharmashala reas. My abiding memory of the trip is the crystal clear streams, beautiful towering conifers which were dwarfed only by the Dhauladhar Mountains.

Kangra is not just a place, it's a complete region with glorious history, culture and a gift of nature in lower Himalayas. One can just enter into this region and see its beauty. But one has to make some efforts to look into its rich culture and history. Kangra Fort is magnificent and its occupants Katochs had links with Mahabharata epic.... More

this valley has the perfect combination of history (forts), religon (Hindu temples, Buddist temples), international feel (McLeod Ganj), adventure tourism ( hand gliding), food (do try Kangri Dham; if you like veg food), nature (himalayas)...:-) great place for all round vacation with good connectivity by air and road..

The Kangra Valley is beautiful and peaceful. I could gladly stay here for my entire visit! I didn't dislike anything. I did like the mountains and the valley vies, the roads, the people and the peaceful atmosphere. There was lots of great shopping but also many quiet and lovely places to just BE!

Though Kangra is not much on tourist list when they visit Himachal. But I recommend them to visit Kangra region which is at best when it comes to nature. Dhauladhar range mostly snow capped adds more value to its beauty. Best town to see this beauty is Dharamsala and Mcleodganj. Must visit for all.
