We went with gotomountkenya.com and had an amazing experience. Pre trip: Evans the manager was prompt in replying to email queries and was flexible to our suggestions for possible variations to the trip. We had the flexibility of doing the Chogoria-Sirimon route in 4 or 5 days (we took 4) and were able to decide this while on the mountain.... More

Spectacular Alpine island in the middle of Kenya. What a treat. Well kept park. Clean well-maintained trails and climbing huts.

Scenery and climb exilerating . We found the initial trek up to the first lodge tedious and boring as the picture us traditional track had been recently replaced by a bulldozed road leaving practically no access to the previous stopping and viewing spots . Tip . Organise a lift up and back to the first lodge . We thought both... More

Hiking Mt Kenya has been on top of my list Bucket list for many years.Im glad to say that I conquered it on Jan 2015 ( 24th - 26th) with a group of 6 people. It was challenging but we were helped with our able guides & crew. We used the Sirimon route which was dry & very pleasant. I... More

We took the 4 day option, up Sirimon and down Chigoria. Firstly this is a con as the first and last 'trekking' days are done on roads and can just be considered 'add ons' to boost the price which was a hefty $700.00 + each for the 3 of us. The descriptions for these 'trekking' days are hilarious, go and... More

Four of us aged 24 to 60 trekked the five night Chogoria to Sirimon route in January, 2015. It was a great adventure, made possible by the hard work and enthusiasm of the gotomtkenya team with us. We trusted our guide Zachary, who led us slowly but steadily upwards (pole pole the Swahili term we'll never forget) at a rate... More

In January 2015 we did the Chogoria - Sermon 5 day tour and couldn't recommend it more highly. The team, lead by our guide Josephat, were great - carrying all of the equipment, making sure we were always comfortable and David serving delicious food. Go To Mount Kenya is a professional company who were great to deal with. I would... More

The mountain is a masterpiece, about the cold, its "heat taking". The adventure is one of a kind as you try to scale your way up the mountain. tiresome and amazing.

I have just returned from a trip to Kenya. The highlight was a 5 day trek from Chogoria to Sirimon including summit of Mt Kenya (Port Lenana). We went with Go to Mount Kenya - a team of local guides, porters and cook. Our guide Zachary could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. The food prepared each day by... More

In January 2015 we went to Point Lenana at Mt. Kenya. Our tour was organized by gotomountkenya.com, who did an excellent job. We did the "Mt Kenya climb Chogoria – Sirimon 5 days" tour. Tour Up hill we used the Chogoria route. This route is not so steep and provides a very scenic view. We went up in January and... More
