We did the chogoria to sirimon route with gotomountkenya tours over 5 days and it was fantastic. Our guide (Dot Com) was excellent and helped out at all times and set a very good and manageable pace that was suited to our abilities. The food provided by the cooks (Paula and Dave) was beyond my expectations and incredible considering the... More

My wife and I hiked the Chogoria-Sirimon route in early June with John Karumba and his team from Kenya Treks (http://www.kenyatreks.com/index.html). We had an excellent trip and would highly recommend hiking Mount Kenya and using Kenya Treks. The scenery on the mountain, especially on the Chogoria route, is amazing. Lake Michaelson is one of the most beautiful places we have... More

I did a 2 day hike with Equitorialstar up Mt Kenya in May and it was an amazing experience. Unfortunately, as I only had the weekend off work, I didn't have time to summit in the two days, however Duncan and the team made sure to give me the best experience possible in this time and suited the journey perfectly... I've climbed Mt Kenya (Peak Lenana) two times, both with the same, fantastic guide (Chris 0725334297) and porters. First time I took Chogoria and the second time Burguret going down on Narumoru. The big advantage of these routes is that there are no huts, so you'll camp and not meet any other person. It takes 5 days. You will need... More

After booking last minute tickets to Kenya, my friend and I were scrambling to find a tour guide to help us reach Pt. Lenana on Mount Kenya. GoToMountKenya came highly recommended on TripAdvisor, and Evans responded within 5 minutes of us requesting information. This was our first mountaineering adventure, and Evans answered 25+ gear and planning questions from us -... More

What a Climb! I did it with Josiah Waithaka and he and his team were excellent! The tents were good and the meals were perfect!

An enjoyable attraction. The trekking crew will usually consist of a guide, cook, porter for the cooking gear plus a personal porter per trekker. It has been said before, but a good experienced guide is so important on Mount Kenya. http://www.safariyako.com/things-to-do/trek-mount-kenya

A great experience - 5 days of trekking in beautiful mountainous scenery with a great supporting team of guide, cook and porter. The summit night was tough but manageable and being on the top near sunrise was magical. The Go to Mt Kenya organisation beforehand and support during the trek were superb. Guide Josaphat was friendly and informative and judged... More

Very well organized and they treated me like a king from start to finish. Very happy I chose these guys and were even able to squeeze in safari at the last minute to make my trip amazing. Thank you!
