We only had time to hike the mountain. We trekked up the west trail, the "easier" side. It is a series of rock stair steps that never end until you get to the last 1/5 of the hike and you have to navigate a series of boulders. The trail is well marked with yellow paint. We had a nice afternoon... More

I enjoyed several hours at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. I hiked to the summit up the East Trail, the more difficult side, which is about 1.5 miles with 700 feet of elevation gain. The East trail is primarily a rock slide, with little shade in stretches. The trail is well marked. I broke a sweat, but primarily due to heat.... More

Pinnacle Mountain State Park was just a 20 minute drive from our bed and breakfast in Little Rock, and with several easily accessible, beautify easy and moderate hikes, it was perfect for early morning trips! We especially loved the arboretum walk with its many offshoot trail options and great signage!

While it's a staple trail of LR, you need to know you have choices. You can go up the easy side or the hard side. The East summit is straight up and over rocks. You must be nimble and unafraid of heights to take this on.

The east side ascent is by far the harder, more rewarding route. The tumbled cascade of rocks is challenging, not technically hard, but you'll want good shoes/boots and to pick your way carefully. You'll be rewarded with a strenuous climb, a nice view, and far fewer people than on the easier western ascent.

My boyfriend and I walked on three trails. There were two trails that we could walk on that were paved since my boyfriend did not wear the proper shoes. We did walk on one that was unpaved and it was a very pleasant experience. There are plenty of signs and markers telling you which way to go. There are also... More

We took the west side trail which is easier than the east side. There are ten stages and the hardest was from eight to tenth. They had us choose the easier or harder rockier path just from the eight stage and we chose the harder one. It got steeper and steeper, rockier, and closer to the edge from the ninth... More

Good day park. Nice visitors center with great views. Many trails to explore. Definitely return for hiking without young children

This is a lovely park around Pinnacle Mountain, which itself rises quite majestically from the otherwise gently undulating landscape. It's very popular with joggers, dog-walkers and cyclists. It has a well-tarmaced path that runs through it and links all the way to downtown Little Rock. The park is full of deer which roam freely. Beautiful wetland too. All in all,... More

If you are just wanting to take a walk through the woods this is an ok place. Not much to see on the trails. It was winter so maybe it would be a better walk in spring or fall. I'm not sure this should be called a "mountain" it's more like a "hill".
