This is a great hike to do in the morning when it is cool. The trail is mostly covered by trees. Good walking shoes are a must as the trail becomes quite steep and rocky in places. The views at the top of the mountain are well worth the effort of making the hike.

Climbing Pinnacle mountain is one of the most fun, yet challenging things to do. My fm friend and I hike 2.5 miles to climb the "harder" side of the mountain. Once you reach the top, it feels like you've accomplished an amazing feat! The views are awesome and you've gotten in a great cardio/ fat burning work out! I must... More

Enjoyable moderate hike from the Western trailhead. This is not a strenuous hike as some indicate, it is actually very well maintained with steps (natural stone) for the first half of the hike. The view from the summit is beautiful. Nobody should need the two hours they recommend to do this hike, if it takes someone this long they probably... More

Bring a camera, bring your friends and go horseback riding. It's a beautiful trail and a lot of fun. They do have certain weight restrictions when riding the horses. They also have helmets for the little ones.

We have been to Pinnacle Mtn State Park at various times. On our first visit, we hiked the Arboretum trail to learn about the vegetation growing in various regions of Arkansas. The trail was paved, trees and plants were accurately described and we had fun with our 5 yr old grandson, who was very intrigued by all of the trees!... More

Always hit Pinnacle on the first warm day in spring. Mountain has two sides, hard and not as hard. Take water as there is nothing on mtn. Great field and paths for those not wanting to climb.

Loved the fact that I accomplished this climb. Beautiful view at the top. Nice folk all around including visitors and park staff. Lots of fun for free!

We only had time to hike the mountain. We trekked up the west trail, the "easier" side. It is a series of rock stair steps that never end until you get to the last 1/5 of the hike and you have to navigate a series of boulders. The trail is well marked with yellow paint. We had a nice afternoon... More

I enjoyed several hours at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. I hiked to the summit up the East Trail, the more difficult side, which is about 1.5 miles with 700 feet of elevation gain. The East trail is primarily a rock slide, with little shade in stretches. The trail is well marked. I broke a sweat, but primarily due to heat.... More

Pinnacle Mountain State Park was just a 20 minute drive from our bed and breakfast in Little Rock, and with several easily accessible, beautify easy and moderate hikes, it was perfect for early morning trips! We especially loved the arboretum walk with its many offshoot trail options and great signage!
