Truly awesome.

One of the iconic sites in Petra. The first sight as you exit the Siq is right up there for me with the first look over the rim of the Grand Canyon.

As you walk through the Siq for the first time, you think you know you have the perspective mapped out. You think, every picture you have seen will be .... the same....but....the moment you see a glimpse of it...that last few metres out of the Siq...is where you truly understand how large and fascinating this archictectural masterpiece truly is...

An adventurous hike to the top. Can be challenging in the desert heat but so fun to see the treasury from above - a view that not everyone gets to see. Of course you will want to experience it again up close from ground level. You will need a guide as it's not allowed for visitors to hike unaccompanied. We... More

The Siq opens into a large expanse of plaza and you face the most elaborate of all the buildings in the ancient lost city of Petra, which is the renowned Al-Khazneh, which translated means Treasury Building. As with all other buildings in Petra it was elaborately carved out of the sandstone cliff face. Originally built as a mausoleum and crypt... More

What can you say about this place. Petra is jaw dropping. The tour down to the Treasury is informational and really builds on what you are about to see when you walk through the stone crevasse's. When you first walk out in front of the Treasury it will blow your mind. Don't be fooled into wasting you're money riding camels... More

We experienced the beauty of this place first during our Petra by Night trip, then, the next morning, and then, at sunset, when the stones were a beautiful red.

The Treasury is the main attraction in Petra and it doesn't disappoint. When you walk through the Siq (which is also amazing) and see the treasury carved into the mountain for the first time all you can say is WOW, the way it opens up from the small narrow opening is amazing. In the morning shadow of mountains can cover... More

The guards are watching this place day & night. We walked though the narrow & winding rough roads & took us more than hour to reach this historical place.
