The Treasury is no doubt beautiful and worth your trip to Jordan but the fact remains that the weather and then the whole climb and the travel to this place could be a little harsh and tiring. Even though technically your tickets include a guide and horse ride, I ended up paying for both extra so that in itself was... More

Captivating iconic feature in Petra! We took advantage of the Petra Nights program. The Treasury is beautiful during the day; it is awe inspiring at night illuminated by luminaries.

I think they charge too much for a monument other people built. They do not even take good care of the site, allowing 'strange' persons to stay inside and annoy tourists. Even if on the ticket it is mentioned that a guide is included, when we asked for one, they say only private guides are available, at an extra cost.... More

you come up to this after riding / walking a while, it is just like in the movies! Unbelievable they were able to do this without any modern tools. Would have liked to see inside but it was off limits.

This place is magnificent. Really nice is “Petra by Night tour”. Ok, it’s a really kind of tourist stuff but I personally enjoyed it. Obscurity and candles just make this place magic. But do not miss it during the day!!!

We decided to take the horse & buggy ride to the Treasury when we visited in 2008. On the route, walls as high as sixty feet rose from the ground making that part of the journey a cool one. Then as you engage the last bend, the Treasury open up to you. How exciting.

It's an extravagant grave... I was disappointed as I was hoping for more of a city or see more of the civilization

Incredible site. Crazy to see something so magnificent in person. Lots of hustle and haggle to buy just in front of the monument. Don't be afraid if a young Bedouin offers to take a picture for you! Money comes, money goes.

It's an incredible experience once you hit the end of the Siq and catch your first glimpse of the Treasury. We had originally planned to take the back route into Petra and see the Treasury and Siq at the end of our day but I'm really glad that we changed our plans. Nothing can really compare to those first steps... More

Absolutely spectacular. We had a guided tour March 2013 for our honeymoon and it was breathtaking. Our guide was brilliant, very funny and knowledgable. As others have said it is amazing walking through the architechual brillance. As you walk down and watch the treasury appear in front of you, words can not express the feelings of absolute amazement. If you... More
