So dramatic when you first see it coming through the entrance gorge. Be ready to be confronted with locals selling camel rides and trinkets.

Can and will never forget our visit to THE TREASURY. Our guide Mr.Talal was too good and explained in detail. Being vegetarians, we never had a problem for food. Veg salads and bread were in plenty.

The Treasury is the first view anyone has when entering Petra. It was built as a tomb and each element carved and present on the facade has a meaning -- it's worth to visit the place with a professional guide or a printed guide book.

You will decently want to bring your camera for this. The rose colored stone will keep you in awe! Also be sure to wear sunscreen because it will take you a while to get to it!

A real treasure of the world...the ancient city of the Nabateans impressed me as well. The grandiosity, the beauty , the "magic" of the place is special.

Not many visitors know about it, but there is a hard to find trail and many stairs to a high above the Treasury view point. Ask you guide how to get there, as it is not hard to loose your way. The view itself is very different, and well worth your effort. Start early and take lots of water with... More

The approach to the Treasury through the rather narrow opening was very stunningly presented by our guide. We were unwittingly manoeuvred to look in the opposite side and made to turn around and experience the view of the Treasury with the morning sun shining on it. It was grand. It surely is the highlight in Petra. Amazing what our prehistoric... More

Got into park early so could spend time looking around without jostling crowds and the dust they create. Headed back out of park when the big groups started wandering down. The school kids were lively but not obnoxious.
