My most favorite picture from Petra is the view of the Treasury coming from inside of the canyon. Inside of Treasury you are surprised by the relatively small size of the rooms but amazed by the different colors of sandstone and the amount of work to carve it.

This is a breathtaking place. Daughter also enjoyed the camel ride and got some great pics. It is a bit of a walk down from the entrance although you can take the overpriced buggy.

The walk in through the valley just fills you with anticipation and thirst... take some water with you. To finally see the treasury as you wind round the corner is pretty cool. Its even better when there isn't anyone there but you and the donkeys. get in early and be the first to take the morning photos. Its worth it.

One of the most awesome sights I have seen in my life. Pity about the overbearing "traders" of goods. Their irritating interference distracts from one of the most beautiful treasures of all time.

This is part of the Rose Wall City featured in the movies like Indiana Jones, its simply amazing to see how they carved huge rooms/buildings out of the rock.

Great condition and simply awe inspiring. This is the first of many ruins that are substantial within the confines of Petra.

Petra was fantastic, easy walking underfoot very good toilet facilities placed throughout the site. We arrived at the Treasury after walking down a narrow passage the Treasury slowly revealing its wonderful self. Obviously the site is very busy but that is to be expected. Locals offering Donkey, cart and camel rides. I don't think the poor donkeys could have carried... More

The entrance between the rocks when first time you see the Treasury is something which can not be described. Best time to go there is in the evening or the morning early as if you go in the afternoon it is so busy and you cant feel the place . It will be so crowded with people , camels, donkeys.... More

We arrived at Petra at 7 am and had the treasury to ourselves, apart from 2 tourists, 2 camels and a couple of hawkers. Loved its magnificence.
