Amazing! The Treasury building was extraordinary. You can not go in. There are ropes and a guard. It actually is only about 10 feet deep- it is just a facade

During my assignment to Jordan I had been on three different occasions to this marvel of history and creation. It is the most important site to visit in Jordan and an absolute stunner.

As amazing as you've seen in the films. Take your time to enjoy it. It's well worth it. The local kids trying to sell things are a little annoying but they'll leave you alone if you're nice to them.

The walk down toward The Treasury is a nice walk, not too much sun as you walking through walls (what used to be a river). As you are getting close and get your first sight of the Treasury you are amazed that something so perfect and unique can be there, There are lost of great angles to take beautiful pictures,... The sheer size, and the skill needed to create such a masterpiece pales against the imagination to first dream it. Absolutely amazing and awe inspiring.

Once you get to the end of the Siq, wow this is one sight you will never forget. Going in at different times of the day is a must as the colours change and it never loses its wow factor, I loved seeing this, it will not disappoint.

If you haven't already done so - please make this part of your bucket list. It is a big day and many amazing and wonderful sites in and around Petra. Again if you can I would HIGHLY recommend that you take a mule ride which is around 3 - 4 hrs and costs a very reasonable $60 AUD. Also take... More
