Ever since i saw the Indiana Jones movie intro, I dreamt of seeing this place. It is still one the most amazing experiences I have had. You just have to step back and appreciate the beauty, the secrecy, the sanctity and the skill in creating a place like this. Stunning!

This is part of Petra. Great Place to Visit! When you walk into the Petra this is where the majority of the people are. It is well preserved from the erosion that some of the other building had.

After walking two kilometers through a narrow passageway, our group could just see parts of the Treasury in front of us. A really WOW factor! This huge carved temple facade dominates a large courtyard. This treasure of a Treasury is in beautiful condition. The only deterring factors are the people selling everything from camel rides to fake silver bracelets. If... More

This is the crown jewl of the Petra site. The walk down the siq and reaching the treasury are wonderful experiences. It is certainly well worth it.

This place definitely has the wow factor! Walking along the siq (gorge) and catching sight of the treasury through a narrow gap with the sun on the facade was breathtaking. We had not appreciated what an extensive site this is as our guide took us beyond the treasury to other tombs and Roman ruins. The mule ride to the monastery... More

This is the first structure you see as you come out of the Siq. Be prepared with your camera to capture that first glimpse as you see it from the siq as this makes for a very interesting photo. The walk to the Treasury is quite easy along a very well formed path which would be suitable for push chair... More

Amazing place. Loved it. Pretty fascinating to think about how they carved this mammoth entity. The only thing I did not like was the vendors all hawking their wares. Too many camels, vendors, and (at times) tourists. Still, so glad I went and worth the trip.

This is the gem of Petra. It is the most impressive building in Petra. Unfortunately, you can't go inside, but the view from outside is breathtaking.

After a long walk inside the natural narrow roads inbetween the mountains...and once you get there... You will be shocked and amazed of how magical this place is... You will never see anything like it... In the whole world
