The siq & treasury is beautiful. Magical in a far away land will leave you to wonder. Try to do the night tour for once, not spectacular but for an experience.

Amazing, such a contrast from the desert surrounding. Another testament to the creative mind of mankind.

The Treasury is the most easily recognisable site at Petra and Jordan. Dating back to the time of Christ, it is actually a tomb of King Arestes. While you are no longer allowed to go inside, it is the epicentre of your Petra visit.

Well worth the superlatives of other reviewers. Start out early it's a lot to see, and you don't want to rush the trip of a lifetime.

As the siq opens up in front of you giving the first glimpse of the treasury your breath will be taken away. Leave the camera down a minute and just take it in. You can go back for photos again after.

every thing that you have read in other reviews is true. This is an amazing treasure. Jordan Ada country is awesome, the people are very welcoming and friendly. We felt very safe at all times. Petra is so beautiful spoilt only by the horse buggy renters who seem to be from another country and have all the bad points of... More

Don't get me wrong, this building is absolutely incredible, and stunning. Definitely try to go in the morning when it first opens so there is no one there. But this is only one part of the city. Definitely need to keep going. Petra by Night is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is another interesting way to see the city... More

The build up to the top is exciting, it is quite a taxing walk approx. 900 steep steps and will take about 2 hours, you can get a donkey ride up most of the way then walk the rest and walk back to save a bit of time - haggle your price for the donkey
