It is easier to start at the top and walk down. There is water and you will get wet, but the scenery is beautiful

Fantastic varied walk. We did it in April and there was some wading involved - maximum waist deep, though most of the gorge was dry. There were a couple of tricky bits which involved clambering down steep rocks, but only for a few metres and the sandstone is grippy enough for it to be within any fit walkers capability. The colours... We did this while we were staying at Feynan Ecolodge, nice but not very easy hiking with dry and wet area. Amazing landscape with different animals

we did a short few hours hike in the wadi and it was worth it despite the fact that its not a straight forward walk. one has to walk through streams of water, climb and jump through rocks etc. the natural beauty of this place is absolutely out of this world. one gets completely lost in this place because of... Really nice walk down from dana village, some parts narrow but with out any serious difficulties. I went along stream bed but there is also much easier way(remainings of the road) part of it is possible to cross with 4x4 vehicle.

We hiked from Al Nawatef camp to Petra. The first day is through Wadi Ghuweir, which is a beautiful canyon. An adventurous but beautiful hike. Together with our guide we had the place to ourselves. Definitely one of the highlights of our Jordan trip!

We walked and walked and walked endlessly in a dry rocky river bed. Nothing to see other than black water pipes, and plastic bottles, and the occasional old slipper on the road.

pure nature (flowers, herbs, plants, birds....), great trails, good shoes required and take an official guide (entry 8 JD/person + guide fee, a little expensive but it's worth)

Ask to be taken to the peak of Jebel Fatma with amazing views of the holy land. We baked fresh bread on the mountain and enjoyed a walk with local Bedouin back to their camp where they welcomed us with tea and milk

Our favourite hike during our stay at Feynan Ecolodge. Ali, our guide from the lodge, was very informative.
