Bough tickets to get to top with gondola.. cost 15 Bulgarian levs for 1 adult. Well...getting to top was nice..but when you got to the top there is ABSOLUTELY nothing to do. Some bar and few attractions for kids. I hate bars and restaurants, they are for old people..that's it... not wort even 2 euros for this in summer.

In my opinion BANSKO is a poor destination if you are there mainly for skiing. It is a victim of its own success and has not managed to keep up with the demand and amount of people attending especially at peak Xmas and New Year, I shudder to think what it would be like at Feb half term. The apres... More

excellent service and location!! Very modern facilities with easy access. Certainly the best ski centre of Balkan 72 km of slopes ,well placed and organized.

Excellent for Medium Level Skiers! The skiing area services are very good. Compared to some years ago, there is a great difference. There are plenty of skiing paths and more than enough lifts to service them. I would definite recommend it for 2-3 days skiing, since an experienced skier would get bored after that.

The 3-4 hour transfer to Bansko from the airport seemed never ending, but was expected so I can't quibble about that. Initial thoughts on the resort on arriving were excellent. Snowing on arrival, and a great looking hotel (we stayed at the Strazhite). The following morning is where things became a little less excellent. A long queue for ski/board hire... More

Plenty of good restaurants and a very good ski area for family's if you avoid February half term week. Go in March for a brilliant experience.

The skiing resort and slopes in Bansko were excellent. We had some great food and in some lovely restaurants, Queens in town and the VIP bar at the top of the Gondala were my favourites. There were plenty of places to have drinks in both the day and night and the people of Bansko were so helpful. The above wrapped... More

Visited bansko 2 times and enjoyed it both. Great slopes and if you go at the right time (toward end of the ski season) there aren't many ques! Only problem is the drive from the airport. Takes a few hours but worth it when you get there

I used to hate skiing, bad experiences in France and Austria made me fairly terrified of skiing. Unfortunately I have a family that love it. We first came to Bansko about 6 years ago, I didn't want lessons as I had the basic skills and didn't want to be pushed as my nerves were fraught. I love Bansko and I... More
