Loved it. we went out peak time in January, was slightly apprehensive about the line for the gondola but never waited more than 5minutes!! Got lessons with Traventuria who were great and would recommend. The ski area is quite small but I never found myself bored (was there for a week) the exception to this was the last say when... Slopes are long. Lots of blues reds blacks. Something for everyone. Only one bad thing there is no snowparks :( few nice bars with cheap beer. No enough seats inside tho and locals not always want to share a table. Town is nice with few shops and plenty of bars and restaurants. There is also an icering - nice addition... More

Lots of snow, no queues for gondola and ski slopes not too busy! I can definitely recommend going to Bankso late March. Town is quiet so maybe not for you if you enjoy a lot of nightlife though. Everyone very friendly. I would strongly recommend any 'total beginner' skiers to arrange some individual lessons first. I found the beginner groups... More

If you can't go to the Alps, go there! Excellent place for ski lovers! Very organized ski center with facilities you can find in traditional ski centers in Europe. You feel safe and the accomodation has very big variety for every wallet!! Good food, and many taverns to visit. The feeling that you are in an international point is very... More

Have just arrived back from Bansko after a brilliant week skiing. The resort itself is fantastic, with food etc. very cheap, even on the slopes by other European standards. The apres-ski isn't the best, but there are enough bars around to enjoy a well-deserved drink after a day on the slopes. We didn't experience any queues at all for the... More

First things first, book everything (Ski pass, ski lessons, ski hire) all through Bansko Blog, so much less hassle and the man who runs it - Lance is very helpful and friendly! In regards to the resort - there's only a few runs in Bansko, mainly blues but saying this it was always a challenge to stick to a blue... More

I absolutely love Bansko!! I love everything about it, from the people to the skiing to the food (mostly). I'l start by saying the place its geared for skiing, if you are looking for a holiday without the skiing i wouldn't come here.. but if you are wanting the skiing then this is the place to be.. now I've only... Just returned from Bansko and am looking to book up again asap. This was my first experience at skiing and Bansko was a perfect place to learn. We had amazing snow and the slopes were well looked after. It was busy but there was never issues with ques for anything. The views from the slopes are breath taking and the... More

2nd visit. Where else can you ski in half term for this sort of price? About £450 all in. - flights accommodation, hire & lift pass. Use bansko sport for hire - just across the car park from gondola, very nice staff and opens early. I've looked at alps, but would cost over twice as much. So have booked again... More

There's not a lot of advanced runs here but it's a great place for intermediate level skiers and below. Lots of runs, gorgeous views and Bulgarian prices (although Bansko is expensive by Bulgarian standards). The only real downside is the gondola lift. Be prepared to wait a LONG time to get on the gondola in the morning. The upside is... More
