Bansko was a new ski destination for my partner and me, and considering the economical value of the Bulgarian resort, the piste here matches that of an expensive resort in Switzerland. As a child, my family lived in and thereafter regularly visited ski destinations in Switzerland, and after a long lapse in this great habit, I decided to gradually work... More

Very good for beginners. Many facilities at reasonable cost. Accessible directly from the city. No bus or car needed.

This is a good resort for beginners and for people that love skiing. The prices are cheap compare to other european resorts. The access its easy to reach from the town but you have to go early to avoid the huge queues (plus its a ski resort, go early to enjoy the day). The ski and snowboard classes are very... More

Nothing compared to French, Italian or Austrian resorts but for the price it's worth the money. Head into the local town of razlog for 35p pints of beer and £1 pizzas.

This really is a ski center. If you don't ski, like me...than there are alternatives. My husband snow boards and I basically took a sled ) which has a starring wheel and brakes and raced him down the mountain which is about 11 km. They also have classes for beginners, a variety of slopes, and even a little bar in... More

We had no idea we could achieve so much as beginners. We were a group of 4 adults with 3 boys between us aged 8 - 11. Mariana Kotirkova was our Ski instructor and she is the reason we achieved what we achieved. I highly recommend her and clearly others do too as she was well known on the slopes.... More

I visited Bansko with a group of friends at the end of March 2014 and we truly enjoyed our time. Partly because the company was good and we had such a good time at our villa but also, in my opinion Bansko Ski was nor bad at all. The problem was lack of snow. Winter 2014 in Europe has been... More

Great ski resort. Plenty of slopes and things to do. The only downside was that there was very little slopes for begginers. All in all well-looked-after and I will be returning again for sure

The main problem with Bansko is the queue for the gondola in the morning. You've either got to get there when it opens at 8:00 am ish or after 11:00 oclock otherwise the queue can be over an hour long. You also have to through your British politeness out the window as the Bulgarian form of Queueing seems to involve... More
