I was very disappointed in the lack of luster overall appearance of the museum and the seemingly disinterest of the hostess/caretaker that gave all outward appearances of not careing if the visit was enjoyable or not.... we left!

Lots of history in this area, and this is a good place to get started on knowing what is important. I always take visitors by.

“Good attraction in Pine Bluff but do not go out of your way”

We visited the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Museum as part of the Arkansas 150th Civil War passport program. The museum took 45 minutes to tour and we were two of four people in the museum on a Saturday. The war exhibits were interesting and I especially enjoyed seeing the Sunbeam Girl. “A Museum That Deserves a Better Town.”

The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Historical Museum is located in the old Cotton Belt railroad depot.
