This newly expanded and improved state park is another gem that Arkansans can be proud of. Park was absolutely spotless. Restrooms, visitor center, camp sites, playground, common areas, day use picnic sites.... everywhere we looked. We had a great time and highly recommend this state park for a Sunday afternoon picnic or for staying a few days in the cabins... More

This is a recently upgraded state park with excellent facilities. New camp sites which are manicured, new bathrooms that are always clean. Beautiful new welcome center, swimming pool with water fountains and upscale cabins along with a new lodge that has awesome wood and rock work. The lake was also recently redesigned to meet the water needs of nearby Ft.... More

The cabins at Lake Fort Smith are wonderful. We have stayed in a two-bedroom cabin and a one-bedroom cabin on different trips through northwest Arkansas. They are new, spacious, quiet and located near the lake. Each cabin had a bathroom for each bedroom, a full kitchen, comfortable furniture in the living-room area, and large dining areas in the cabin and... More

What a treasure, Lake Fort Smith cabin rentals. These are recently constructed, well equipped, and located on a scenic lake. Forget your key and open your cabin door lock with the last four numbers of your telephone number. When you step inside you will put city problems out of your cabin. Firewood is waiting, modern plumbing, and dish tv all... More

If there was a way to rate 10 I would ! This is the MOST beautiful cabin in a state park ...or anywhere for that matter, that we have ever stayed. Huge rooms...kingsize bed that is SO comfortable. Fantastic deck with gorgeous teak furniture and view of the lake. Huge fireplace and great deal on wood. The kitchen has everything... More

You can reserve RV spots. This is a great advantage. The spots were very spacious. The bathrooms are very nice also.

Visitor Center, campsites, day-use area, marina, (everything!) is practically new and well maintained. All park staff we encountered were very friendly. The park is located in the rugged Boston Mountain area of the Ozarks and the scenery is beautiful. The lake was not as clear as I expected, but we were there shortly after a heavy rain.

This is an amazing campground. The facilities are top notch, the camp sites are perfect, smooth, well laid out and like new. We were able to rent a kayak and go on a two hour tour around a nearly empty lake (empty of people, not water!) The lodge is beautiful with a very nice back porch where you can sit... More

I took the kayaking tour across the lake with several other avid outdoors women . Made new friends and enjoyed a great first kayaking experience with a very knowledgable tour guide . Great day for some fresh air and relaxing on the water

On a whim, I loaded up bike and kayak and drove northwest for about an hour and twenty minutes, from my home yesterday. This wonderful state park rewarded me with friendly service and super clean, modern facilities, as well as a great lake for paddling around in my boat. I noticed that the park rents boats of all sizes and... More
