Beautiful and relaxing

Lovely waterfalls, pretty Mirror Lake, interesting old mill remnants with neat dam spillway framed in the old mill windows, and nice CCC bridge structures to photograph.

Blanchard Springs is the best cave that isn't a National Park. It is, in my humble opinion, better than Carlsbad, Lehman Caves (Great Basin N.P.) and Kartchner Caverns State Park (AZ). As far as beauty it leave Mammoth Cave N.P. in the dust. The Guides are QUALITY; very informative and fun. In the title of this review I say it... More

the Dripstone cavern tour was excellent. North Sylamore trail is very nice.the part gong to Allison is awesome. The other direction is nice too. I took the trail whole trail from Allison on the North side of North Sylamore CReek. there is a small dirt rd with gov sign. that lead SE to the trailhead to the North Sylamore trail... More

Beautiful, serene, and free. Do you need to know more? The falls are beautiful and make for some incredible photo opportunities. It just doesn't get more serene than the sound of the falls and the trickle of the the waters over the rocks through the stream. That, then leads to what may be one of my personal favorites - Mirror... More

If you're looking for beautiful, scenic, waterfalls and lakes then you owe it to yourself to visit the Sylamore Creek area for hiking some of the most amazing trails I've ever been on. Huge moss covered boulders and cedar glades over looking the gorgeous Sylamore Creek!!!

If you go during the week you can enjoy the peace and quiet with hardly anybody around. The fall is fantastic around the whole area.

We had heard this area was beautiful and were glad to see it lived up to the talk. The trees hadn't turned really pretty colors yet but it was still very pretty. We didn't take as much time as we should have but are looking forward to going back and exploring.

Enjoy a walk in the woods, a dip in cool waters, a shower, a campground--your cave tour ticket allows you day use of the recreation area too, just put it on your dashboard. Pretty as a picture in fall, but I'm betting it's nice just about any time of year.
