I reviewed this cave about fifteen years ago and what I said about the cave then holds true today. Blanchard Springs Caverns is run by the National Forest Service and was commercially developed in the late 1960's and early 1970's. It set the standard for modern commercial cave development. The cave has vast rooms and passages and some of the... More

After just visiting the caverns last year with our grandsons, my husband and I decided to take them again this year. I figured -- I'd seen it last year, I probably wouldn't be as impressed just a year later. But I was just as blown away with the beauty of the Dripstone Trail as I was the first time I... More

My daughter, grandkids, and I did two different tours. Both tours start with an elevator ride 200 feet down. Daughter and 11 year old grand-daughter took the Dripstone Tour. It was 1 hour long with 50 stairs (ramps also offered) - they said the formations and tour was wonderful. My 16 year old grandson and I took the Discovery Tour.... More

This is a very nice show cave with a huge amount of pretty formations in great condition. We did the Dripstone tour, which is an easy walk that took about an hour. We had a great tour guide. It was fun and educational for all the family. We had a ten year old and she loved it too. The whole... More

My family drove a bit out of our way to get to this cave but we were glad we did. The cave is amazing. We took the shorter tour because of time, but would've enjoyed the longer tour and possibly seeing bats. Kids were thankful of the variety it gave our trip.

The US government has made these caverns eminently visitable. Elevators and airlock doors allow access and yet maintain the natural environment. Very well done and an experience for the entire family.

the bats were flying inside the cave.. intriguing. the ranger quite knowledgeable with funny quips and delivery. short tour perfect for little ones interest span but enough tho create an interest. Safe walking really one of the nicest caves. dramatic lighting.

love taking the family here.. we always seem to see something different when we go. We have been coming up here for the past 15 years and then go to Mirror Lake and Trout fish or go to the camp grounds and have a picnic for lunch

What can I say... BIG cave with well-run tour; very impressive sights. Unfortunately, the guide seemed to be practicing some kind of weird, overly-inflected "professional" voice, but he was informative.
