This state park had plenty to do. There were a few historic sights, tons of pretty views (great panoramic shots ) and scenery. The pioneer cabin is a must see. The falls were easy to view as the walk was on a boardwalk (handicap accessible ) Nice gift shop and mini museum. We enjoyed this park!

The trails were awesome and the falls were beautiful! Dont let the distance detour you from taking the hike! It was not bad going down and if you take your time its not too bad going back up either! Enjoy the Nature of Arkansas

I went to Petit Jean State Park with my husband & mother-in-law along with two other couples. We stayed in a yurt, one couple in their trailer, and one couple at the Mather Lodge. The weather turned cold and rainy (in April 2015) which was unpleasant, but all 7 of us met for breakfast one morning in the yurt. That... More

My wife and I have stayed at the park before, but always in a CCC cabin. We camped this time and our stay couldn't have been better. Specifically, the campgrounds were clean and well taken care of. The restrooms were as nice as any park I have ever visited. The trails, while busy on this beautiful weekend, were maintained and... More

This is a wonderful State Park to visit and hike. Our favorite hike was the Cedar Falls Trail. To find the trail head, once inside the park, follow the signs to Mather Lodge. Walk through the middle of the lodge to outside. This will open up to a breath-taking view. Trail head is off to the left. You'll get a... More

We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit with us! The Cedar Falls Trail is definitely one of our most popular! We work hard to maintain all of our trails here on Petit Jean Mountain, and it’s always nice to hear that the hard work is noticed. Our park interpreters also plan guided hikes to assist our... We recently visited family in the Little Rock area and spent one of the days at Petit Jean State Park. What a gem....and not far from the city. Lots of camping areas, picnic areas and over 20 miles of trails to hike. We hiked the falls trail located by the main lodge and it was beautiful. Don't miss out on... More

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are always happy to hear from our visitors. Along with all of the beautiful trails Petit Jean has to offer, we also have a marina that offers fishing and boat rentals! The marina is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. We hope you will be back to visit us... More

We spent a week at Lake Ouchita State Park. Drove about an hour and half to see this park also. Glad we did. Great trails and the waterfall is amazing.

We camped here, originally booked for 2 nights, but had to extend for 3 because there was so much to see and do. Would have stayed a week, if we could have (and we seldom stay anywhere that long). This beautiful mountain top park has all you could ask for in terms of enjoying nature: quiet (in April, I am... More

Well marked hiking trails with lots of great scenery. The drawback is the number of people that visit the park - hard to "get away" when there are so many people.
