We were tent camping at Mount Nebo State park and decided to check this place out. We ate at the lodge the food was good and inexpensive. This park has quite a few hiking trails. Due to the rain we didn't get to really check them all out. We did try. Lol. Let's just say it is on our list... More

I live here and do not take advantage of this great park enough. Mather Lodge is a great restaurant. Lots of trails to hike, things to see and places to stay. Last trip was in the winter and enjoyed it much more due to all the leaves having fallen off the trees. Also went this last time after a bunch... More

Winter, after the leaves have fallen and snow and or rain has packed them down some, reveals the terrain and views that are only available from late December to very early March. Cedar Falls rarely if ever dries completely up, but since it is part of the creek that is fed from rainfall and runoff does slow down to a... More

We stayed in the cabins that are in the state park. It was so wonderful! They have full kitchens, large refrigerators, and are just charming! We traveled in April just after the rains and it made for beautiful sites on every trail. The falls are a must see and do not be afraid to take the trails down to the... More

The cabins are very comfortable and relaxing. There was a fireplace in the cabin. The lodge provides you with one free bundle of wood each day and have extra wood for sale for only $4 each. In the bedroom we had 2 queen size beds that were very comfortable. The living room had a couch and rocker that were comfortable,... More

Stayed in one of the cabins, did some hiking, enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant at the Lodge. Lodge restaurant was very good, cabin was clean and pleasant, enjoyed a hike on the Sleepy Hollow Trail; enjoyed the beautiful scenery on Petit Jean Mountain. The antique car museum was a fun stop also.

Petit Jean is a real treasure, a gem in the Arkansas State Park System. Miles of hiking trails from strenuous to handicap accessible are available; well marked and maintained. Beautiful views abound, and don't miss Red Bluff Drive. Numerous campsites are available, as well as cabins. A restaurant and rooms are available in Mather Lodge. Petit Jean was created as... More

This state really does outdoors well. This state park - tiny in comparison to its bigger neighbours - is well done with stunning campgrounds and a large lake. There is a lovely hotel - the Mather Lodge - that has great little cabins and rooms and a nice hotel with a killer view. There are lots of walks and the... More

We hiked down to the bottom of the waterfall and that is where my husband proposed to me. Now we are happily married. The park is beautiful.
