My husband and I camped here for a couple nights this past weekend. It was our first time visiting the park. I was impressed with how clean the park was overall and how many things there are to do. You can find something to kill a lot of time or a little time. They have hiking trails for most skill... More

On our vacation through Arkansas we so far have visited 3 Arkansas state parks, and this one is an absolute pleasure to stay in. We stayed in a motorhome in area A, but the cabins, yurt, and lodge would be fine as well. The area A sites are like parking in a plush city park with grass, pine trees, and... More

My favorite thing about Mt. Petit Jean are the hiking trails and view of the mini canyon. There is a large natural water fall and hiking trails lead down to it, at the bottom of the fall is of course a natural pool that is also spring fed. It is georgious and swimming is allowed.

I'm blessed to live about an hour from Petite Jean and frequently ride my motorcycle to the lodge. Mather's Lodge is gorgeous with a spectacular view. The food is great, very reasonable prices and a gift shop is also located in the lodge. There are camping spaces or cabins to rent. I have rented one of the cabins with a... More

There are numerous attractions and sights where a person/family can spend much of the day. They are all good, but be sure to visit the old gravesite on the east end of the mountain before you leave.

The rock caves, the bear cave and the waterfall are the three main attractions there. The park is an excellent place for picnics too.
