We aren't hikers, but still found plenty to do in the park. The overlooks are wonderful, and places like Bear Cave were even accessible to old folks like us.

Has always been one of my favorite places. Beautiful towering pines, and how can’t you appreciate the ‘Legend of Petit Jean’ no matter how ridiculous it is? My dad used to take me to Petit Jean when I was a kid, and now I take my GF there when we get some downtime. The trails are well marked, and when... More

I've been to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Europe. I've been in lodges throughout the Grand Canyon and out West. This place is just wonderful. And the help, views, food, surroundings are just first-class. None of these other places hold a candle to this area. It is not crowded, or usually is not. It is quiet, serene, natural and still friendly. Take it... More

What a pleasant surprise! This park offers hiking trails and several picturesque bridges and smaller falls to shoot. We had a fantastic afternoon walking around and experiencing nature.

My niece took us sightseeing and there was both easy and difficult trails depending, so even my mother could walk with us. The rock formations are impressive. I would recommend bug spray, because there are quite a few insects around.

If you take the drive through this park there is lots of nice stops with fantastic views. Park staff was very friendly and helpful telling us which were easier walks and were to find the best views. If you are in the area it is a great place to stop, many nice places for a picnic.

We drove in from Hot Springs Ark. The view from the east side overlook is unbelievable. When a plan flew close to us and the big birds are circling below, you are probably too high. the elevation and surrounding view blew us away. The waterfall is fabulous. We did not have time to take trail to bottom, but we will... More

Great place for families. There are so many hiking trails from easy to difficult. Cabins were built by CCC, they are well maintained but very difficult to reserve. Love the fall foliage. The walk to the fall can be strenuous. Best views of the fall are after the rains. We enjoyed the hike to Bear Cave, easy walk with children.... More

How many times can you say WOW! Our first WOW was when we pulled up to the Mather Lodge, when you walk in the first thing you see are the large windows overlooking the cliffs. Check in was easy and quick. We stayed in the dog friendly cabin 17, a Rustic housekeeping cabin. When we opened the door, WOW again,... More
