I can't believe anyone would come to Samila Beach just to see the mermaid statue. It's just a statue, and not very interesting at that.

if you are in Songkla you can't miss it. can't say it is spectacular but still...you might as well go and have a look at it. we were not impressed however we can say we've seen it (many times taking visitors) so "we've done it.

you have a beach with a small statue of a mermaid. Pushy men who touches the breasts because this brings good luck, together with irritating men on ponies who want to sell pony rides. If you have never seen a statue in your life, you will love it.

The mermaid is on an outcrop of rock just where the two main beaches in Songkhla meet, just beside the large Samila Beach Hotel. Some local people say that it is meant to bring good luck if you stroke her breasts. Nothing special. Some asia-tourist came to take lots of pictures... The beach is not the best and I did not like the the restaurants nearby.

There are a lot tourist there. This place is the one of attractive place where to visit when you come to Songkhla. Nice and clean beach, white sand, nice weathere. Must go there when you are here in Songkhla. You will see Cat and Mouse Island behind mermaid.

The statue is on a very popular beach. Quite busy & hard to find parking. We had done a small shopping for cheap souvenirs there. The place was quite windy good to relax. The Mermaid Statue is very popular point on Samila beach, Songkhla province. Don't miss to see her and take photo with her. This is nice view with sea ,sand and sun.
