I visited Keelung Miaokou Night Market at night about 7pm local time.. for me, this market is the best night market if compare to those in Taipei.. as at this market, you can find variety of food & drinks which almost eah of it also delicious.. although this market not that big, but since you might stop at every stall... Another fascinating side to life in Taiwan. The night markets are the place to go to eat, so much variety and so cheap. Something for every taste.

We came to Miao Kou Food Street in the afternoon. It was not busy during the day. If you happened to drop by this food street, do try the minced pork rice from stall No 31. You will never regret. NT20 per bowl. The rice was not oily at all so you can easily eat at least 2 bowls. The... More

It is a small night market, nothing much to see, but if you enjoy taiwan food then this is the must visit place! lots of food stalls and less crowd than Shilin.

I love the KeeLung night market! There's so much yummy stuff! Like the healthy sandwich, which is actually fried and not so healthy, but oh mine it tastes so good!! There's the one bite sausage, that is super unhealthy but yummy! There's the famous shaved ice stall, it was ok in my opinion. We tried the tempura which is great,... More

If you travel through Taiwan, spend a day in Keelung visiting small authentic Taiwanese food vendors at Miaokou (downtown area), viewing the harbor from Chong-Cheng Park, visiting the night market, you will learn a lot from those hard-working, humble and friendly Taiwanese people! I was born and grew up there.

基隆庙口夜市 is just a short walk from Keelung Railway station. If you think its just another night market that is no different from the famous Shilin Night Market in Taipei, then you are in for a surprise.. 基隆庙口夜市 is famous for seafood and other interesting stuff like 'fishing' and you can try your luck fishing for terrapins too... There are... More

I imagine if you find yourself in Keelung you are already aware of the famous night market. It is definitely a must if you are traveling to northern taiwan. Keelung is really easy to get to by bus from Taipei and the night market has lots of treats you wouldn't normally find on your travels. My favorites are the BBQ... More

This night market is just a short walk from the cruise ship terminal making it a great place to walk out to if you opt not to go on any shore excursions or only go on a short one-half day shore excursion. Friendly vendors and the food variety is vast. Go with a group and share the taste and experience.... More

Friendly Taiwanese vendors serving delicious street food fare. This is the authentic experience with most of the patrons being locals. So much to choose from, best to go in a group and share in the grazing. Not-to-be-missed stalls would be the butter crab, fried sandwich, pot-sticker soup (make sure you have it with the large flat noodles), and the tofu... More
