This is where people have been burried after Mt. Mayon erupted. Despite the sad the history is a breath taking scenery and to pray for the lost lives. Every spot is a picture perfect place. They are planning to add a garden but still underconstruction. Definitely worth visiting.

Cagsawa is a town burried by Mt. Mayon when it erupted more than a century ago. What was left is the belfry of Cagsawas Church. Cagsawa is now a park with lots of souvenir store. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop at Cagsawa last Saturday morning and we would definitely recommend it to anyone spending time in Legazpi. The site really is beautiful at the base of Mayon and the belltower and the ruins of the church are quite spectacular with such an amazing background. It is easy and cheap to go on your own. Just ask the locals , who are very friendly which jeeneys to take from Legaspi City.
