Finally found the time to visit the perfect cone, the Mayon Volcano in Bicol. It is an amazing creation of God, awesome to look at, really beautifully-shaped volcano. A picture-perfect shot of it should be taken from Cagsawa Ruins and from Lignon Hills. A photo with the Cagsawa Church Tower ruins gives the Mayon Volcano an enchanting caption, while the... More

Legaspi is truly blessed with the Mayon Volcano. It's just awsome! I look at my pictures in it from way back and I'm always amazed at it's majestic beauty, what a perfect cone! Whether you're atop Lignon Hill, Daraga Church or Cagsawa Ruins Park it's beauty follows you. Can't get enough of it. I'll come back again and again Mayon. More

You can view Mayon in a lot of places in Legazpi. The best time to view it is early in the morning or late pm. It is usually covered by clouds at other times. Check out Mayon at the Embarcadero, Lignon Hill, & Mayon Observatory. More

Mt. Mayon is a very beautiful volcano. Rarely have I ever seen a mountain so nearly perfect in its conical shape. Hikers will LOVE the hike up to its peak, as you get to walk through lush tropical forests and open areas that were until recently flowing rivers of lava. Having said that, check the weather report for the day.... More

Just seeing Mayon Volcano in the City of Legazpi is overwhelming. It's such a sight to behold specially early in the morning when on a bright day you can see it in full view, no clouds. More

Mayon Volcano got its name from the word "Magayon" which in Bikol means "Beautiful." It's still majestic despite the numerous eruptions that eroded some portions of its symmetrically coned shape. Mount Mayon is a landmark site in the Philippines but is considered the most active volcano in the country. The past eruptions had claimed thousands of lives. Mayon can be... More
