She is always a beauty to behold. On a cloudless sky, on a hot summer's day, she is the perfection of the only one in the world.

If you are a tourist with an intention to visit the Philippines, better include Mayon Volcano in the province of Albay. The near-perfect cone of the volcano has continuously amazed many a visitor, not only during the times it is erupting. Besides the Volcano, there are many other things to see and visit nearby like the whale-sharks in nearby Sorsogon... More

The volcano may be fiery sometimes but it remains a lifetime of inspiration to me. I was born in Albay and I keep on coming home. Its view remains the best airport view ever. Where in the world will you see a wonderful volcano right after alighting from the plane? Visit Albay, there will always be wonders.

I totally agree with the review of Wouter S: don't book a tour to the Mayon with this guide! We found his name on the net and so we tried to contact him: he soon replied to our email and offered the 2days and one night tour (till camp 2) for 4500php per head; the price seemed really good and... When you visit Albay, there is absolutely no way you can miss this beautiful sight. Mayon Volcano is literally there, in all it's glory, everywhere you look. Although it shyly hides behind the clouds more often than not, it is definitely worth the wait to be awed when it finally reveals itself. Wake up early to catch the perfect cone.... More

A must try! Go as early as 5 am to see the Mayon completely and not covered by clouds. Trip takes 2 hours or more so avoid the heat as well

We climbed the volcano with a perfect weather and the view was just amazing ! It's impressive and peaceful, it's definitely something to do when you visit Legaspi. You need a guide to find your way and then some filipinos were there to cook food for us.

It was an evening to remember. My fiance rented the outdoor amphitheater of Misibis Bay. The view was this volcano. It was a beautiful sight. Misibis Bay's crew set up out private dinner - the whole theatre to ourselves all evening! Awesome.

Since it is now temporarily not allowed to climb Mt. Mayon, due to a ban the local government imposed after a few recent accidents, we only went to see the volcano on a clear day from Lingñon Hill. This can only be rated with 5 stars, Mt. Mayon and the surrounding rice fields offer a mesmerizing view, it is hard... More
