A must try! Go as early as 5 am to see the Mayon completely and not covered by clouds. Trip takes 2 hours or more so avoid the heat as well
We climbed the volcano with a perfect weather and the view was just amazing ! It's impressive and peaceful, it's definitely something to do when you visit Legaspi. You need a guide to find your way and then some filipinos were there to cook food for us.
I'm so desperate to see this perfect view. I've passed by this Place twice and maybe the jinx is on me but Im not really lucky enough to see this perfect view. So desperate as iam I have no choice but to go near. But to my amaze they have already closed it for viewing due to accidents. But since... More
It was an evening to remember. My fiance rented the outdoor amphitheater of Misibis Bay. The view was this volcano. It was a beautiful sight. Misibis Bay's crew set up out private dinner - the whole theatre to ourselves all evening! Awesome.
Since it is now temporarily not allowed to climb Mt. Mayon, due to a ban the local government imposed after a few recent accidents, we only went to see the volcano on a clear day from Lingñon Hill. This can only be rated with 5 stars, Mt. Mayon and the surrounding rice fields offer a mesmerizing view, it is hard... More
We took the ATV tour of Mayon, using a dunebuggy-type car that accommodated my friend and I. Its the best $100 USD I spent on the trip. 3-4 hours with a guide and tons of fun driving around Mayon to get views you just can't get any other way.
Whats to say. Its a volcano and its active. Its a beautiful sight and can be see all over the Bicol Province. Its better to see from afar as the trip up to the volcano is long and you can only drive so far up the side. The ride through the countryside is nice is you like that kind of... More
I know I should love it's perfect cone shape but what can I do? I fell in love even with the clouds covering Mayon. We were so lucky because from the ship (we came from Virac/Caramoan/Catanduanes) the volcano welcomed us with it's great view. On our way back to Manila Mayon also bid us goodbye. Those were the only times... More
The most beautiful, perfect cone shaped volcano! Towering over Legazpi city, one can have a glimpse of it from almost any location in the city. The airport is one of the best places to see it, however. But if you want an unobstructed view go up Lignon hill, which is a few minutes from the city center. We did an... More
I would go back next time when It's sunny to see Mayon Volcano. I would try the ATV going to Mayon. I would take more pictures of it :)
