Some are large and busy some are small and quiet. The whole place is 'must see'. We took a horse cart for a long morning away from people and had a peaceful and unforgetable time.

Words do not do justice to this incredible place. Each temple is quite different. The setting of these thousands of temples is quite expraordinary and I think, best visited by horse and cart. Our driver spoke great English and was a pretty good guide.
We went by train and flew back with Air Bagan. If you do go by train...

Ever first becoming avidly interested in Myanmar back in 2008 and seeing the countless videos and photos of Bagan, I knew I HAD to visit it at some point.
That time finally came and had the opportunity to visit Bagan for two days. Without a doubt, it did NOT disappoint (except for the the fact that it was a bit...

The sea of pagoda is one of the most beautiful scene I have seen in my life. It is so unique and so marvelous. Go see it at least once in your life time.
The local facility is not too poor. This will be a dream destination if you want some cultural trip.

The highlight of our family RTW trip. The vast array of temples is sublime and the locals warm and friendly. We are so glad we came here before Bagan becomes a mega destination.

I visited Bagan on May last year. Me and my wife spent 3 days and two nights there. The place is laid back, but very amusing for us. We stay at park view guesthouse, which is nice place to stay. Except for the lightsout, which of course happen in all Bagan.
Visit to the temple and ruins should start very...

We absolutely loved our time here exploring the temples, pagodas and monasteries. The people are friendly and the sights are fascinating. You will see a lot more if you hire a taxi rather than using a bicycle or horse and cart because of the size of the archaeological region. We had a wonderful taxi driver with an air conditioned taxi...
