It's a little old but still works perfectly fine. Fantastic views. The ticketing is a little shambolic, and people need to be warned to stop pushing to get on as that could prove dangerous. Overall, fantastic and highly recommended.

Online booking available. Beware, gondola service is not available on few Mondays of every month. So plan accordingly. Also, no special clothing/shoes required for stage 1 gondola.

Visiting aparwat from gulmarg through cable car namely Gandola is one of the Best, memorable and beautiful thing a visitor can do in kashmir. It takes few minutes to reach aparwat from base station passing through one station in the middle of journey but few hours to get the ticket due to crowd. The charges are little bit higher but... Though the price for a ride in the Gondola is slightly high its a wonderful experience, totally worth for the view it offers. Way upto the second level is generally closed reasoning the weather, however you will find self declared "Guides" who can indeed get you tickets to the second level for about 400-500 charge for them. If you are... More

first of all going on the second phase is a must, thats where all the great views are. you can see the transition from trees to the snowline. once up a hike of half a km will take you to awesome views. you are literally on the top of a mountain with surrounding peaks at your level. you can do... Drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg is pleasant with spectacular view of green valley and blooming daisy so as to Gulmarg. Renting warm jackets, snow boots, riding pony and hiring Guide may be optional. I didn't rent them and easily manage in 2nd phase of Gandola 13,500 without these items. There was not much crowed. It is nature's paradise.

Loved the Gondola experience. Got lucky that we had clear blue skies - and were able to go all the way up the second link (first link only would have been a waste). The people there are a bit painful. You don't need their snow boots, You can negotiate on rates for sledging and skiing - although both are a... More

Being to one of the highest gondolas in the world, we were disappointed with the entire management. We had booked our tickets online well in advance. After a 500m walk in the queue, we reached the first phase where we couldnt find any snow. After that, we had to take another line to go to the second phase which took... More

It was a good experience. But please remember to go early to avoid long queues. Expensive activities are available up on level 1. Basic food is also available, but all is expensive.
