We stayed at 3 lodges with Volcanos safaris in uganda & rwanda who took us to see the gorillas in the volcanos national park. We would heartily recommend the experience. About $500 per trip to see the gorillas but the money goes to the guides & paying off the local community not to turn the jungle into farm land. It... more

Our trip to see the Mountain Gorillas was a life-changing event! We went with Churchill Safaris and had the best tour guide we have ever had. Both Uganda and Rwanda are safe, friendly, and affordable. We came came here for 3 days of activities and wish we had stopped for more. We did our first day visiting the SUSA group with 4 silverbacks, a 2 1/2 hour treck to them, an unforgettable hour with them, then a 2 hour treck back. this group were spread out amongst the jungle on a steep slope.
