A great day is to go to Oyster island( about 1/2 an hour drive from Luganville by taxi), book in for their gourmet buffet lunch (2,400 Vatu per person) which includes canoe hire, paddle across the bay and up the river to the Matevulu blue hole. Here you can beach your boats and enjoy swinging on a rope from a... More

Definitely worth the trip. Do not forget your camera and inner child (the ropes are fun). The canoe trip was interactive having to paddle and bail out the water we took in. Just wish we had longer to swim and snorkle.

If visiting you must include the Blue Hole, beautiful crystal clear blue water to swim in. A good side trip.

We called in to see it - didn't swim, but those who were in here sure seemed to be enjoying it. Still primitive change rooms maybe an added attraction.

This was the last of 3 blue holes we visited and again we weren't disappointed. Access to Matevula blue hole is a road that runs beside an old WWII airstrip although not particularly well sign-posted. This is apparently the deepest of the blue holes and despite the depth the water is so crystal clear you can see perfectly all the... More

I am not joking - the water is so clear its as if you were on the inside of a fish aquarium. And it tastes so clean. the only place I can remember water being so cool and clean is Lake Mackenzie on Frazer island Australia. We went via Kayak from the river entrance. It was great exersize and worth... More

The Santo Blue Hole is located only about 10-15 minutes drive away from Champagne Bay. I have also visited the Nanda Blue Hole (Jacquie's Blue Hole) and although this Blue Hole was beautiful it doesn't compare to the Nanda Blue Hole but definitely worth a look! We booked a ride with one of the local couriers for about $15 to... More

Persist in looking for this. There are some signs but they don't actually direct you to the Blue Hole #2. You'll usually see locals around so ask them. It's crystal clear and a lovely place for a snorkel. I couldn't find Blue Hole #1 but I heard that #2 is best.

Wow, what a great experience visiting the Blue Hole. We kayaked up the beautiful Malo river on a day trip from Bokissa private island ( highly recommended resort). The scenery is awesome and when you reach the blue hole it's like Wow ! So blue and serene, highly recommended and an easy kayaking trip, not strenuous at all.
