Tonga is just fabulous, with incredible sealife and beaches in a tropical heaven, made even more special by the whales and the possibility to swim with them. Most 'whale-watching' is done from day boats, often hard and bumpy speed boats with noisy, roaring two-stroke engines with not much room or shade that come back early, by which time you're cooked... My husband and I had wonderful 4 days/3 nights on Jocara, nice boat, very good kayaking and snorkeling experience and very very nice food prepared by Christy. We live far away from Tonga and have limited resouce about sailing in Tonga, therefore this time we went for 3 nights only. When the trip was over, we realize that's not enough.... More

Great day out snorkelling and a good sail in on their 42 foot keeler . Nice boat. Highlight would be the swim int swallows cave which is pretty awesome . Could have done with a over nighter . Food good and snorkelling gear good.

We spent five days cruising with Otis, Male and Ake on the Independence in November 2013 and really got more out of it them we could ever expect. Initially we had planned to rent our own boat instead but we are really happy that we didn't. We could never have matched Otis whale spotting and snorkeling experience ourselves, nor Ake:s... More

The "Independent" catamaran that we had a whale swimming day drip on was a lovely boat, the crew were friendly and caring and apart from the fact we didn't find a whale to swim with, it was a recommended experience, much more pleasant than the diesel boats - but then again not as fast getting to whales but these things... My partner and I had a fantastic time on the Independence. We had the absolute best treatment and I don't think a minute went by without us having a drink in our hand or a pillow under our head if lying on the front of the catamaran. The views and snorkeling were incredible, especially snorkeling into swallows cave. We always... More

Our family of 4 adults stayed for 5 nights on the 52 foot sloop Jocara. We were looked after by a fabulous crew of Noah the experienced captain, Aki the young and energetic boat crew and Mele the chef. The sailing was beautiful, and the crew took special care to ensure we had fantastic snorkelling at key spots including two... More

We spent an unforgettable week on the Independence sailing around the amazing islands of Vava'u in search of whales last October. Besides the islands revealed to be well beyond our expectation in beauty we could not have chosen a better arrangement to discover them. The boat is really perfect for 4 people ( though it fits confortably also 6) and... More

best holiday we have ever had Just wanted to drop you an email to say WOW and thank you. Our time on the "Independence" was brilliant. Otis was a great skipper, incredibly hospitable, welcoming and friendly and Archipay (sorry we don't know how to spell his name) was a fantastic chef and hand. I will admit that I was never... More

This daytrip was recommended to us by our hosts at Mystic Sands Beach Bunglaows and we were so glad we booked it! Had a really great day with Jenny and Otis on their beautiful catamaran. We were one of three couples on board as guests and everyone was looked after extremely well. One guest had broken her leg a few... More
