I did the WSET II with Matthew in February 2012. It was great fun, I learned heaps and it has changed my appreciation and understanding of french wine. The course covered wines from around the world, we tasted the differences between "new world" wines, warm climate wines and the cool climate equivalents, the same varietals from different countries, oaked and... I took the WSET level 2 while i was having the summer to intern in the South of France and, having not known much about wine, I left with a recognzed qualification, learnt an awful lot about wine and had a great deal of fun!

I did an intensive yet rewarding wine course in early July 2012. Matthew and Rachel were incredibly helpful from the outset and made the stay incredibly enjoyable. Matthew's years of experience in the wine industry was invaluable, adding to that the magnificent backdrop of the vineyards where the school was set. A magical few days! I highly recommend it to... I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Vinecole. The course was enjoyable and challenging at the same time. The setting was amazing!

Our party of 5 had a great wine experience day with Matthew Stubbs of Vinecole. It started with a tour of the vineyard at Domaine de Gayda, with insight into vine planting and growing. We then focussed on the wine making process. Gayda provided an excellent lunch on their terrace with great views of the Pyrenees. Afterwards we had a... More

This was the second time I visited Vinecole. Initially I went with my partner in January 2011 and was fortunate enough to be able to return this Marh with my family. I could not recommend the whole experience enough. Matthew was as hospitable as ever and the tour was suitable for my younger sister, parents and grandparents alike with each... More

The Vinecole at Gayde came highly recommended by our host at nearby Domaine Le Puget. I had taken a group over for five days of health, fitness, wellness and some excursions and aimed to strike the right balance of activities. Matthew was most accomodating in fitting the tour into our schedule which was well received and enjoyed by all. We... More

My wife and I recently traveled to the Languedoc region with two other couples as a long overdue reunion. While there we had the opportunity to participate in a one day, three hour wine education class at the wine school ("le vinecole") near Limoux. The vinecole is on the grounds of the beautiful Domaine Gayda, a winery that produces top... More

My son and I attended the "Family Wine Tasting" as a fun activity for both of us both on our holiday in France. We toured the vineyards and winery before returning to the Vinecole to focus on tasting. While the adults were sampling wines from around the region the kids were blind-tasting fruit juices. Matthew was tremendously knowledgeable and yet... More

Having started to develop a passion for wine, I was delighted to find a wine school near where my father lives in the South of France in the Launguedoc-Rousillon near historic Carcasonne. The day started off with meeting our amiable and knowledgeable host, Matthew Stubbs MW, who preceded to take us on a tour of the vineyards and winery. Along... More
