On 3 occasions I turned up at the shop and eventually was met by a young lad. He was unable to take any decisions himself and whenever he phoned his boss I got the distinct impression that they did not want to do any business. I have subsequentely emailed him on 3 occasions but they are unanswered and the website... More

We did a five day trek in the Ammeln valley & Tafraoute fixed via email with Ahmed. Our guide, Ali Lamine, was a lovely bloke, who told us lots about the area (in French), and cooked up a great tagine on the nights we stayed in the mountains. Bad weather meant we couldn't climb Jebel el Kest, but we had... More

During our stay in Tafraoute, we wanted to climb Jebel el-Kest (locally known as Lekst), the highest peak in the spectacular range of mountains north of town. Our email sent in advance was not answered, but when we came to Tafraoute Aventure's shop in the center of Tafraoute, we were received friendlily. The owner speaks English and German. We booked... We wanted to so a small tour in Tafraoute area. We decided to do a 4x4 tour. Problem was that the guide knew nothing. It was more that we hired a driver for the day. We saw some really good places but imo a guide should be adding value.... but he didn't... pity.

We visited the city of Tafraout : Production of local yellowish shoes, production of argan oil as well as "amlou" (crushed almonds mixed to argan oil. We also visited the village of "Aguerd ou Dad" with its famous mountain, top of which is shaped by nature as a "Napoleon Hat". We also contemplated the mountain shaped also by nature as... More

A very good trip around the main sights surrounding Tafraoute - Le Chapeau de Napoleon, Les Pierres Bleues and both gorges. There was no guide as such, although Mohammed the driver, explained things along the way. He was very good, always willing to stop for photos and we could get out in the gorges and walk as much or as... More

We paid £100 for a couple of hours mountain biking (for 4), and half a day excursion. We rented what are probably reasonable quality bikes, but may chain snapped at the farthest point meaning that I had to walk back. No apology or discount was offered. The following day we were taken for about an hour drive to a gorge... More

Loved this! it was almond blossom time so the landscapes had pretty pink blossoms around to make the scenery even more beauitful - we went fabulous routes up to an ancient granary and then down towards Ighrem and 4x4 route to Tata where we stayed a night and then to the amazing village of Amtoudi where the 12th century grain... We went on a four wheel trip with a driver, Mohammed, and we had a really good day. He took us to see 60.000 year old rock carvings and the painted modern rocks,.We walked in palmeries and had one of the best lunches in Morocco in a Berber village. A good car, a good driver and a good trip.
