What an experience in the lost world of the gran sabana! Evelyn Podewin from hike-venezuela.com arranged this trip for us and she would come highly reccomended for helping and organizing a trip of a lifetime. I was unsure of the situation in Venezuela when planning this trip 4 moths ago but after many emails exchanged with Evelyn we were well... More

The trek is awesome and a great experience. Good physical challenge over the days with changeable weather adding to the spice! Regarding the operator Backpacker Tours they did a good job and have excellent porters and guides.. The food provided is good quality and knowledge and courtesy is top notch. I have given them the same feedback to them as... More

My friend and I did a 5 day trip to the Angel Falls and Margarita Island, with 2 days travelling to and from Guyana at either end. We booked through Hike-Venezuela and had a truly memorable experience, the customer service was as good as any I have ever experienced. Our hostess Evelyn was absolutely amazing, all the arrangements for hotels,... More

I´d like to share a fantastic journey at Mount Roraima. This was a life-time experience as it was my first big trekking trip. I´d also like to thanks Roraima Adventures, a brazilian tour company based of Boa Vista (capital of Roraima State). They did a superb job organizing and have the necessary equipment (e.g. tents, slepping bags and cooking utensils)... More

Trekking Roraima has been, without a doubt, the hardest, most difficult experience of my life. Mentally, physically and psychologically exhausting and challenging, but I would do it all over again a 1000 times. How to describe the experience? I have little words.. I don't know how to express it, I will just say it was amazing and epic. One of... More

We did the 7 day Roraima Trek with BackpackerTours. Firstly be warned, the treks do not run every day. You cannot just rock up and book onto a trip the next day as we had hoped!!! Luckily Eric from Backpackertours is awesome..... he helped us get accommodation, change money, book our buses and organise our Angel Falls trip as well... More

This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! I am still looking for the words to describe everything I saw. The unique landscape, the views, the water... if you are in Venezuela and do not do this - you are doing Venezuela and yourself an injustice. Import information: The standard package is 6 days - this... More
