hike, the trails are fantastic. Very well marked, the mountains spectacular, and the water in the streams is fresh and clear. More

The main reason to find oneself in this dusty town is to go hiking. It's a magical place, partly because of the people one can meet in town who came for the same purpose. I definitely could have stayed a longer amount of time. As it was, and given my time constraints, I think I was there just the perfect... More

we did a 20 Kilometre hike fromHostel El Pilar to El Chalten.Quite easy s have asthma and cannot tackle any steep walks. Only about 200 metres gained overall. Coming from the Hostel side was the best option as we did not have a steep climb from El Chalten. The park was in pristine condition and the views of Mt Fitz Roy,the... More

Trails are extremely clean with no trash whatsoever found. Fresh water sources abound and you don't have to bring much drinking water with you as you can simply refill them at the little streams scattered throughout the trails (better ask the local / tour guides to see which ones are safer to drink, we had a tour guide with us).... We have never seen such clean, pristine trails. You cannot find one single piece of trash. Trails are well marked and easy to follow, making it nearly impossible to get lost. More

We ended our trip to Patagonia with VivaExpeditions in El Chalten. The whole trip is with them was a wonderful adventure. We hiked to Poincenot Camp to view Mt. Fity Roy out of El Chalten. We were transferred a few miles up the valley to a bed and breakfast where a trail starts to Poincenot camp. Then you only have... More

Do the signature hikes...Cerro Fitz Roy, Laguna Torre and Loma del Phegue Tumbado. If time allows, at the end of Loma del Phegue Tumbado climb the off trail switchbacks to a jaw-dropping vista! More

Went with a hiking tour group and did two hikes, one in the arid and grassy hills on the Mirador de los Condores Trail and another in the Fitz Roy Valley in the lenga forest and to Lake Capri. Spectacular doesn't begin to describe the views and scenery. Mt Fitz Roy is the constant companion in good weather and it... More
