Don't get me wrong. The glaciar is beautiful. It's worth it. But getting there is most of the trip. Especially if you're coming from El Calafate- it's two hours each way, which is fine, but not if you're thinking you're going to spend the whole day on the ice. Not at all. And this is not a physically demanding trip.... More

Thanks a lot for your comment. Is a fact that in Patagonia, distances are really huge and a 2 hours ride is a short one!!! We are glad you enjoyed the Glacier, the Viedma is fantastic!, and so is the lake. The trip from/to El Calafate is part of the Patagonian steppe. Regards More

We were interested in the Patagonia adventure tour -- Viedma ice trekking. When I asked them to check availability, they said yes it was available. After I emailed them all passenger information, including passport number, DOB, name, etc, they told me the tour was reserved for us and required my credit card to pay upfront. On the next day, they... More

We booked a different tour with the company in El Calafate, the people selling the tours were really helpfull and informative. We thus decided to do the Viedma ice trekking as well, because they said the walk on the ice was longer and nicer then the Perito Moreno walk. The girl at the office in El Chalten on the other... We did both the ice trek and an all day guided mountain trek. In both experiences Andreas was our guide. He clearly loves to share his extensive knowledge the geology, flora, fauna, birds, and history of the area. He also had insites related to the climbing culture and the town of Calafate which were most interesting. In addition, the other... More

Four of us took the Viedma Pro (glacier ice trekking and climbing) tour and we can simply said that Patagonia Aventura was a very professional group of people making this a memorable trip for us. Nacho and his team gave us a lot of time for ice climbing from easy to more difficult wall. They did not rush anyone and... More

I did the glacier trekking tour on 26th of December and I loved the experience! The only bad thing is that these guys do not heat the bus nor the boat... After walking almost 3hrs on the glacier I thought to myself no way they do the same on the way back.. But sadly all the way to Chalten we... More

Due to the fact that they have a monopoly on the services towards the glacier you have no other choice. The ViedmaPro tour especially the staff for ice climbing was very excellent. Great day experience. Good size of group. Due to the only provider, we had to wait until slots were free. So book in advance since there is no... More

I joined this (very pricy!!) tour departing from El Calafate in a 1-day trip. I'v read negative opinions about this agency but since it is the only one that organize trekking on the ice on the Viedma...I had no choice, so I booked with them. What a mistake! They put you in a big group of people, with members of... More

I was very scared and I could not pciture myself trekking the glacier, but as many of people said before the guides from Patagonia Adventure are amazing, very helpful and they make sure that you trek only in safe areas of the glacier, every day the trail can be different as the glacier moves, you will see rainbow and will...
