Amazing in summer

This is a stunningly beautiful part of the highlands. There are few places that i have visited that are as pleasing to the eye. The walk is challenging so make sure you are fit.

Visited Glencoe with my parents and my boyfriend. 2 snowboarders and 2 skiiers. Much less pretentious than the European Alpine resorts, we got our equipment hired very quickly and then up on to the access chairlift we went. We had to walk a bit as the coverage wasn't the best lower down but the pistes were very well maintained and... More

A visit to Scotland cannot be complete without a drive through the Glencoe Valley. Walk through if you are able or simple do a leisurely drive. I recommend a stop at the Glencoe ski resort. There is a very good cafe which serves wholesome good food which is very reasonable priced. The drive through the valley is sublime and is... More

A trip up Glencoe mountain is well worth a trip. Only downside is the £10 ticket, but the view at the top makes you forget about that

Took the ski lift for £10 a person return as a non skier to the cafe area on the last Sunday of skiing. Watched the skiers on the last of the snow whilst having coffee at the cafe. Quite busy with people. Great views and an enjoyable few hours up the mountain.

If you are travelling up past / through Glencoe take the time to stop off at the White Corrie Ski area. it's the start of the third week in April and there's still loads of snow at the higher levels of the hills. Park up and take the chairlift up to the cafe located at some 2000 + feet above... More

Went to Glencoe in Feb 2015 to get a run on "real" snow before going away to France. Easy to get to short drive from Glasgow. loads of parking and facilities are clean. Cafe on the slope also to chill between runs. Queues weren't too bad and not long to wait.

We went up to initially have a walk but then realised that there was snow!! They have free sledges so you can sledge and they also have a cafe to get some food. It was not very expensive if you compare it to the ski slopes of Switzerland and other countries as a lot of things could probably only get... More
