Ok we'll go if you want as it's your birthday! I don't think the wife was that keen but she also thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was knowledgeable and succinct but also amiable. A fascinating insight into the subject and well worth the entrance.

Not every bodies taste but interesting one hour guided tour of essentially a two small room museum. all the items can be purchased for a few thousand pounds each! Quite expensive for what it is. Also I would drop in to the small but even more quirky free dolls shop across the road.

My husband and I love visiting "micro-museums" and we felt this is one of the best we've been to. The guides were very knowledgeable and even though they've given the tour hundreds of times they still managed to convey a sense of enthusiasm and passion for the museum. The highlights for me were seeing a piano play itself, listening to... More

We've travelled along the A429 many, many times going from A to B, & have seen the sign to the museum & have said we ought to visit, but never have, until now. The museum is quite small, but is an absolute gem & well worth the entrance fee & the 100 mile round trip! We had a 45 minute... More

My wife hesitated with the £8 entry charge and it is a small place..but, that entry charge is really for one hour intimate live demonstrations of some of the rarest music boxes, gramophones and self-playing pianos... and they sound exquisite. Hearing the piano prelude as played by Rachmaninov himself on a self-playing piano alone was worth the price of entry... More

We found a little gem here and found our visit was so interesting and it was a working museum with exhibits operated by enthusiastic staff. A great hour of entertainment.

Staying in Bibury last weekend and the weather was a bit chilly so my husband and I decided to pay this museum a visit. It is very small and there is a guided tour taking about 45 minutes. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I might - it's absolutely fascinating and taught me a lot.

Passed through Northleach on many occasions but this time we decided to stop and we visited the museum. Rather small and only two rooms with a guide to explain and play all the mechanical instruments. Some of the musical boxes were an utter delight especially in their craftsmanship and the melodiousness. Thought that there might be more to see with... More

We are very glad you took the time on your journey to stop and visit us and equally pleased that you enjoyed it and reviewed us. I must amend just one point however for the benefit of future patrons and yourself, our museum collection itself is actually stock along with a large selection of more modern musical boxes in the... I have to say that this place far exceeded my expectations! The main reason for going was that my elderly father-in-law is very much into building automatons so we thought that he would find it interesting on his latest visit from Devon to stay with us, but I think I got as much from the visit as did he. There... More
