A lovely garden well worth a visit, very pretty in spring and no doubt even better in the summer and autumn. The maze had us beat at first but we returned to give it a second try and managed it, with a little help! The only down side to our visit was the state of the toilet pan, it was... More

The whole park was ablaze with colour and easy to access a real delight and the hedge maze was fun a lot of thought put into this garden

Bridge end gardens are a stunning representation of a traditional landscaped garden. With orchards and lawns as well as tranquility this is a magical escape from modern life. Additionally there is a maze at the end of the main garden. All free, although donations welcome. There is also an art gallery documenting a lot of local life.

The gardens here are beautiful, and the hedge maze is very fun! Although it's certainly very nice to have a walk through the gardens if you're nearby, I wouldn't say that it's worth travelling to Saffron Walden especially for them.

We stumbled across the gardens and were so surprised. For a Saturday evening it was very quiet and peaceful. Those that work there obviously take great care and pleasure with the gardens.

We were in the area, so the family decided to visit bridge end gardens, we found trying to find them a nightmare but eventually we asked someone who kindly gave us directions, the gardens themselves were quite small & were pretty basic in their design so we decided to go to the main park as there was a maze!! Well... More

Having visited the Fry Gallery (which you pass on the way to these lovely gardens), this was a "must" next stop. The gardens were larger and more varied than we expected. The only disappointment was that the maze was closed (don't know why). Not worth travelling especially to SW to pay a visit, but well worth it if you are... More

A well maintained and interesting garden worth visiting. It's a bit out of the way but worth the walk

Found this whilst strolling about - didn't expect such a large and well maintained garden in a small town like this. Very refreshing - full marks to the local council for restoring and maintaining such an asset.

This gentleman really made our visit. He is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic on his subject and it was a pleasure chatting to him. The gardens are well worth a visit and kept beautifully. A peaceful area definitely of outstanding beauty. Certainly an asset to Saffron Walden and one to visit. Toilets are clean too! Well done to all concerned.
